Ezekiel 7:2–7

2 “Son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord says to the land of Israel:

“ ‘The end! The end has come

upon the four corners of the land!

3 The end is now upon you,

and I will unleash my anger against you.

I will judge you according to your conduct

and repay you for all your detestable practices.

4 I will not look on you with pity;

I will not spare you.

I will surely repay you for your conduct

and for the detestable practices among you.

“ ‘Then you will know that I am the Lord.’

5 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“ ‘Disaster! Unheard-of disaster!

See, it comes!

6 The end has come!

The end has come!

It has roused itself against you.

See, it comes!

7 Doom has come upon you,

upon you who dwell in the land.

The time has come! The day is near!

There is panic, not joy, on the mountains.

2 Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land. 3 Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. 4 And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

5 Thus saith the Lord God; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come. 6 An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come. 7 The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.

2 “Son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord says to Israel:

“The end is here!

Wherever you look—

east, west, north, or south—

your land is finished.

3 No hope remains,

for I will unleash my anger against you.

I will call you to account

for all your detestable sins.

4 I will turn my eyes away and show no pity.

I will repay you for all your detestable sins.

Then you will know that I am the Lord.

5 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

Disaster after disaster

is coming your way!

6 The end has come.

It has finally arrived.

Your final doom is waiting!

7 O people of Israel, the day of your destruction is dawning.

The time has come; the day of trouble is near.

Shouts of anguish will be heard on the mountains,

not shouts of joy.

2 “And you, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel:

‘An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.

3 Now the end has come upon you,

And I will send My anger against you;

I will judge you according to your ways,

And I will repay you for all your abominations.

4 My eye will not spare you,

Nor will I have pity;

But I will repay your ways,

And your abominations will be in your midst;

Then you shall know that I am the Lord!’

5 “Thus says the Lord God:

‘A disaster, a singular disaster;

Behold, it has come!

6 An end has come,

The end has come;

It has dawned for you;

Behold, it has come!

7 Doom has come to you, you who dwell in the land;

The time has come,

A day of trouble is near,

And not of rejoicing in the mountains.

2 “Human, the Lord God says this to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come on the four corners of the land. 3 Now the end has come for you, and I will send my anger against you. I will judge you for the way you have lived, and I will make you pay for all your actions that I hate. 4 I will have no pity on you; I will not hold back punishment from you. Instead, I will make you pay for the way you have lived and for your actions that I hate. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

5 “This is what the Lord God says: Disaster on top of disaster is coming. 6 The end has come! The end has come! It has stirred itself up against you! Look! It has come! 7 Disaster has come for you who live in the land! The time has come; the day of confusion is near. There will be no happy shouting on the mountains.

2 And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto the land of Israel, An end: the end is come upon the four corners of the land. 3 Now is the end upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations. 4 And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity; but I will bring thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

5 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An evil, an only evil; behold, it cometh. 6 An end is come, the end is come; it awaketh against thee; behold, it cometh. 7 Thy doom is come unto thee, O inhabitant of the land: the time is come, the day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, upon the mountains.

2 And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto the land of Israel: An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land. 3 Now is the end upon thee; and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will bring upon thee all thine abominations. 4 And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity; but I will bring thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah. 5 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An evil, an only evil! behold, it is come. 6 The end is come, the end is come; it awaketh against thee: behold, it cometh. 7 The doom is come unto thee, inhabitant of the land; the time is come, the day is near, —tumult, and not the joyous cry from the mountains.

2 “Son of man, this is what the Almighty Lord says to ⸤the people in⸥ the land of Israel: The end is coming! The end is coming to the four corners of the earth. 3 Now the end is coming for you. I will send my anger against you. I will judge you for the way you have lived, and I will punish you for all the detestable things that you have done. 4 I will not have compassion for you or feel sorry for you. I will pay you back for the way you have lived and for the detestable things you have done. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 

5 “This is what the Almighty Lord says: One disaster after another is coming. 6 The end is coming. The end is coming. It is stirring itself up against you. It is coming! 7 Destruction is coming to you, inhabitants of the land. The time is coming. The day is near. There will be confusion. There will be no joy in the mountains.

2 “Son of man, this is what the Lord God says to the land of Israel:

An end! The end has come

on the four corners of the land.

3 The end is now upon you;

I will send My anger against you

and judge you according to your ways.

I will punish you for all your detestable practices.

4 I will not look on you with pity or spare you,

but I will punish you for your ways

and for your detestable practices within you.

Then you will know that I am Yahweh.”

5 This is what the Lord God says:

Look, one disaster after another is coming!

6 An end has come; the end has come!

It has awakened against you.

Look, it is coming!

7 Doom has come on you,

inhabitants of the land.

The time has come; the day is near.

There will be panic on the mountains

and not celebration.

2 You, O mortal, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel:

An end! The end has come

upon the four corners of the land.

3 Now the end is upon you;

I will let loose my anger upon you;

I will judge you according to your ways;

I will punish you for all your abominations.

4 My eye will not spare you; I will have no pity.

I will punish you for your ways

while your abominations are among you.

Then you shall know that I am the Lord.

5 Thus says the Lord God:

Disaster after disaster! See, it comes.

6 An end has come; the end has come.

It has awakened against you; see, it comes!

7 Your doom has come to you,

O inhabitant of the land.

The time has come; the day is near—

of tumult, not of reveling on the mountains.

2 “And you, son of man, thus says the Lord Yahweh to the land of Israel: ‘The end comes, the end on the four corners of the land. 3 Now the end is on you, and I will send my anger on you, and I will judge you according to your ways, and I will bring on you all your detestable things. 4 And my eye will not take pity on you, and I will not show compassion for your ways; on you I will bring your detestable things; they will be in the midst of you, and you will know that I am Yahweh.’ 5 Thus says the Lord Yahweh: ‘Look! Disaster after disaster is coming! 6 The end comes, comes the end! It has awakened against you! Look! It comes! 7 Doom is coming against you, the dweller of the land; the time comes, the day is near, panic and not joy is on the mountains.

2 “Son of man, I am the Lord and King. I say to the land of Israel, ‘The end has come! It has come on the four corners of the land. 3 The end has now come for you. I will pour out my anger on you. I will judge you based on how you have lived. I will pay you back for all of your evil practices. I hate them.

4 “ ‘I will not spare you or feel sorry for you. You can be sure that I will pay you back in keeping with how you have lived. I will judge you for your evil practices. I hate them. You will know that I am the Lord.’

5 “I am the Lord and King. I say, ‘Horrible trouble is coming! No one has ever heard of anything like it.

6 “ ‘The end has come! The end has come! It has stirred itself up against you. It is here! 7 Death has come on you who live in the land. The time for you to be destroyed has come. The day when it will happen is near. There is no joy on your mountains. There is nothing but panic.

2 “And you, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel, ‘An end! The end is coming on the four corners of the land.

3 ‘Now the end is upon you, and I will send My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways and bring all your abominations upon you.

4 ‘For My eye will have no pity on you, nor will I spare you, but I will bring your ways upon you, and your abominations will be among you; then you will know that I am the Lord!’

5 “Thus says the Lord God, ‘A disaster, unique disaster, behold it is coming!

6 ‘An end is coming; the end has come! It has awakened against you; behold, it has come!

7 ‘Your doom has come to you, O inhabitant of the land. The time has come, the day is near—tumult rather than joyful shouting on the mountains.
