Ezekiel 24:4–5

4 Put into it the pieces of meat,

all the choice pieces—the leg and the shoulder.

Fill it with the best of these bones;

5 take the pick of the flock.

Pile wood beneath it for the bones;

bring it to a boil

and cook the bones in it.

4 Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones. 5 Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.

4 Fill it with choice pieces of meat—

the rump and the shoulder

and all the most tender cuts.

5 Use only the best sheep from the flock,

and heap fuel on the fire beneath the pot.

Bring the pot to a boil,

and cook the bones along with the meat.

4 Gather pieces of meat in it,

Every good piece,

The thigh and the shoulder.

Fill it with choice cuts;

5 Take the choice of the flock.

Also pile fuel bones under it,

Make it boil well,

And let the cuts simmer in it.”

4 Put in the pieces of meat,

the best pieces—the legs and the shoulders.

Fill it with the best bones.

5 Take the best of the flock,

and pile wood under the pot.

Boil the pieces of meat

until even the bones are cooked.

4 gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones. 5 Take the choice of the flock, and also a pile of wood for the bones under the caldron; make it boil well; yea, let the bones thereof be boiled in the midst of it.

4 Cut the meat into pieces, 

all the best pieces, the thigh and shoulder. 

Fill the pot with the meatiest bones 

5 selected from the best sheep. 

Pile wood under the pot. 

Bring the mixture in the pot to a boil. 

Cook the bones that are in it well. 

4 Place the pieces of meat in it,

every good piece—

thigh and shoulder.

Fill it with choice bones.

5 Take the choicest of the flock

and also pile up the fuel under it.

Bring it to a boil

and cook the bones in it.”

5 Take the choicest one of the flock;

pile the logs under it;

boil its pieces;

seethe also its bones in it.

4 Gather its pieces to it, every good piece, thigh and shoulder, fill it with choice bones; 5 take the choicest of the flock, and also pile the bones under it; boil it vigorously; indeed, its bones boiled in the midst of it.” ’ ”

4 Put pieces of meat in it.

Use all of the best pieces.

Use the leg and shoulder.

Fill it with the best bones.

5 Pick the finest animal in the flock.

Pile wood under the pot to cook the bones.

Bring the water to a boil.

Cook the bones in it.” ’ ”

4 Put in it the pieces,

Every good piece, the thigh and the shoulder;

Fill it with choice bones.

5 “Take the choicest of the flock,

And also pile wood under the pot.

Make it boil vigorously.

Also seethe its bones in it.”
