Ephesians 5:33–6:2

33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—

33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

33 So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

1 Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. 2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise:

33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise:

1 Children, obey your parents as the Lord wants, because this is the right thing to do. 2 The command says, “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first command that has a promise with it—

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honor thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise),

33 But ye also, every one of you, let each so love his own wife as himself; but as to the wife I speak that she may fear the husband.

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is just. 2 Honour thy father and thy mother, which is the first commandment with a promise,

33 But every husband must love his wife as he loves himself, and wives should respect their husbands. 

1 Children, obey your parents because you are Christians.This is the right thing to do. 2 “Honor your father and mother

33 To sum up, each one of you is to love his wife as himself, and the wife is to respect her husband.

1 Children, obey your parents as you would the Lord, because this is right. 2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise,

33 A husband also must love his wife. He must love her just as he loves himself. And a wife must respect her husband.

1 Children, obey your parents as believers in the Lord. Obey them because it’s the right thing to do. 2 Scripture says, “Honor your father and mother.” That is the first commandment that has a promise.

33 Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
