Ecclesiastes 7:20–21

20 Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous,

no one who does what is right and never sins.

21 Do not pay attention to every word people say,

or you may hear your servant cursing you—

20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. 21 Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee:

20 Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins.

21 Don’t eavesdrop on others—you may hear your servant curse you.

20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good

And does not sin.

21 Also do not take to heart everything people say,

Lest you hear your servant cursing you.

20 Surely there is not a good person on earth

who always does good and never sins.

21 Don’t listen to everything people say,

or you might hear your servant insulting you.

20 Surely there is not a righteous man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. 21 Also take not heed unto all words that are spoken, lest thou hear thy servant curse thee;

20 Certainly, there is no one so righteous on earth that he always does what is good and never sins. 

21 Don’t take everything that people say to heart, or you may hear your own servant cursing you.

20 There is certainly no righteous man on the earth

who does good and never sins.

21 Don’t pay attention to everything people say, or you may hear your servant cursing you,

20 Surely there is no one on earth so righteous as to do good without ever sinning.

21 Do not give heed to everything that people say, or you may hear your servant cursing you;

20 Surely there is no one righteous on the earth

who continually does good and never sins.

21 Do not pay attention to everything people say,

lest you hear your own servant curse you.

20 There isn’t anyone on earth

who does only what is right and never sins.

21 Don’t pay attention to everything people say.

If you do, you might hear your servant calling down a curse on you.

20 Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins.

21 Also, do not take seriously all words which are spoken, so that you will not hear your servant cursing you.
