Deuteronomy 32:43–47

43 Rejoice, you nations, with his people,

for he will avenge the blood of his servants;

he will take vengeance on his enemies

and make atonement for his land and people.

44 Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. 45 When Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel, 46 he said to them, “Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. 47 They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people:

For he will avenge the blood of his servants,

And will render vengeance to his adversaries,

And will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

44 And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun. 45 And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel: 46 And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law. 47 For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

43 “Rejoice with him, you heavens,

and let all of God’s angels worship him.

Rejoice with his people, you Gentiles,

and let all the angels be strengthened in him.

For he will avenge the blood of his children;

he will take revenge against his enemies.

He will repay those who hate him

and cleanse his people’s land.”

44 So Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and recited all the words of this song to the people.

45 When Moses had finished reciting all these words to the people of Israel, 46 he added: “Take to heart all the words of warning I have given you today. Pass them on as a command to your children so they will obey every word of these instructions. 47 These instructions are not empty words—they are your life! By obeying them you will enjoy a long life in the land you will occupy when you cross the Jordan River.”

43 “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people;

For He will avenge the blood of His servants,

And render vengeance to His adversaries;

He will provide atonement for His land and His people.”

44 So Moses came with Joshua the son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. 45 Moses finished speaking all these words to all Israel, 46 and he said to them: “Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe—all the words of this law. 47 For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.”

43 Be happy, nations, with his people,

because he will repay you for the blood of his servants.

He will punish his enemies,

and he will remove the sin of his land and people.

44 Moses came with Joshua son of Nun, and they spoke all the words of this song for the people to hear. 45 When Moses finished speaking these words to all Israel, 46 he said to them: “Pay careful attention to all the words I have said to you today, and command your children to obey carefully everything in these teachings. 47 These should not be unimportant words for you, but rather they mean life for you! By these words you will live a long time in the land you are crossing the Jordan River to take as your own.”

43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people:

And will make expiation for his land, for his people.

44 And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun. 45 And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel; 46 And he said unto them, Set your heart unto all the words which I testify unto you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, even all the words of this law. 47 For it is no vain thing for you; because it is your life, and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over the Jordan to possess it.

43 Shout for joy, ye nations, with his people, For he avengeth the blood of his servants, And rendereth vengeance to his enemies, And maketh atonement for his land, for his people.

44 And Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Hoshea the son of Nun. 45 And when Moses had ended speaking all these words to all Israel, 46 he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words that I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to take heed to do, all the words of this law. 47 For it is no vain word for you, but it is your life, and through this word ye shall prolong your days on the land whereunto ye pass over the Jordan to possess it.

43 Joyfully sing with the Lord’s people, you nations, 

because he will take revenge for the death of his servants. 

He will get even with his enemies 

and make peace for his people’s land.

44 Moses came with Hoshea,son of Nun, and recited all the words of this song as the people listened. 45 When Moses had finished reciting all these words to Israel, 46 he said to them, “Pay attention to all these warnings I’ve given you today. Then you will command your children to faithfully obey every word of these teachings. 47 Don’t think these words are idle talk. They are your life! By these words you will be able to live for a long time in the land that you are going to take possession of when you cross the Jordan River.” 

43 Rejoice, you nations, concerning His people,

for He will avenge the blood of His servants.

He will take vengeance on His adversaries;

He will purify His land and His people.

44 Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and recited all the words of this song in the presence of the people. 45 After Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel, 46 he said to them, “Take to heart all these words I am giving as a warning to you today, so that you may command your children to carefully follow all the words of this law. 47 For they are not meaningless words to you but they are your life, and by them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

43 Praise, O heavens, his people;

worship him, all you gods!

For he will avenge the blood of his children

and take vengeance on his adversaries;

he will repay those who hate him

and cleanse the land for his people.”

44 Moses came and recited all the words of this song in the hearing of the people, he and Joshua son of Nun. 45 When Moses had finished reciting all these words to all Israel, 46 he said to them, “Take to heart all the words that I am giving in witness against you today; give them as a command to your children, so that they may diligently observe all the words of this law. 47 This is no trifling matter for you but rather your very life; through it you may live long in the land that you are crossing over the Jordan to possess.”

43 Call for songs of joy, O nations, concerning his people,

for the blood of his servants he will avenge,

and he will take reprisals against his foes,

and he will make atonement for his land, his people.”

44 And Moses came, and he spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people; that is, he and Joshua the son of Nun. 45 And when Moses finished speaking all these words to all Israel, 46 then he said to them, “Take to heart all the words that I am admonishing against you today concerning which you should instruct them with respect to your children so that they will observe diligently all the words of this law, 47 for it is not a trifling matter among you, but it is your life, and through this word you will live long in the land that you are about to cross the Jordan to get there to take possession of it.”

43 You nations, be full of joy. Be joyful together with God’s people.

The Lord will get even with his enemies.

He will pay them back for killing those who serve him.

He will wipe away the sin of his land and people.

44 I spoke all of the words of that song to the people. Joshua, the son of Nun, was with me. 45 I finished speaking all of those words to all of the people of Israel.

46 Then I said to the people, “Think carefully about all of the words I have announced to you today. I want you to command your children to be careful to obey all of the words of this law. 47 They aren’t just useless words for you. They are your very life. If you obey them, you will live in the land for a long time. It’s the land you are going across the Jordan River to take as your own.”

43 “Rejoice, O nations, with His people;

For He will avenge the blood of His servants,

And will render vengeance on His adversaries,

And will atone for His land and His people.”

44 Then Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people, he, with Joshua the son of Nun.

45 When Moses had finished speaking all these words to all Israel,

46 he said to them, “Take to your heart all the words with which I am warning you today, which you shall command your sons to observe carefully, even all the words of this law.

47 “For it is not an idle word for you; indeed it is your life. And by this word you will prolong your days in the land, which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”
