6 The land by the sea will become pastures

having wells for shepherds

and pens for flocks.

7 That land will belong

to the remnant of the people of Judah;

there they will find pasture.

In the evening they will lie down

in the houses of Ashkelon.

The Lord their God will care for them;

he will restore their fortunes.

6 And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.

7 And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah;

They shall feed thereupon:

In the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening:

For the Lord their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.

6 The Philistine coast will become a wilderness pasture,

a place of shepherd camps

and enclosures for sheep and goats.

7 The remnant of the tribe of Judah will pasture there.

They will rest at night in the abandoned houses in Ashkelon.

For the Lord their God will visit his people in kindness

and restore their prosperity again.

6 The seacoast shall be pastures,

With shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks.

7 The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah;

They shall feed their flocks there;

In the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening.

For the Lord their God will intervene for them,

And return their captives.

6 The land by the Mediterranean Sea, in which you live,

will become pastures, fields for shepherds, and pens for sheep.

7 It will belong to the descendants of Judah who are left alive.

There they will let their sheep eat grass.

At night they will sleep

in the houses of Ashkelon.

The Lord their God will pay attention to them

and will make their life good again.

6 And the sea-coast shall be pastures, with cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks. 7 And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed their flocks thereupon; in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening; for Jehovah their God will visit them, and bring back their captivity.

6 and the sea-coast shall be cave-dwellings for shepherds, and folds for flocks. 7 And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for Jehovah their God shall visit them, and turn again their captivity.

6 The seacoast will become pastureland

7 The coast will belong to the faithful few from the nation of Judah. 

There they will graze their sheep. 

In the evening they will lie down in the houses of Ashkelon. 

The Lord their God will take care of them 

and will restore their fortunes.

with caves for shepherds and folds for sheep.

7 The coastland will belong

to the remnant of the house of Judah;

they will find pasture there.

They will lie down in the evening

among the houses of Ashkelon,

for the Lord their God will return to them

and restore their fortunes.

6 And you, O seacoast, shall be pastures,

meadows for shepherds

and folds for flocks.

7 The seacoast shall become the possession

of the remnant of the house of Judah,

on which they shall pasture,

and in the houses of Ashkelon

they shall lie down at evening.

For the Lord their God will be mindful of them

and restore their fortunes.

6 And you, O region of the sea, shall become

pastures and meadows for shepherds

and sheep pens for the flocks.

7 And it shall become a region

for the remnant of the house of Judah;

upon them they shall graze,

and in the houses of Ashkelon

they shall lie down in the evening.

For Yahweh their God shall be mindful of them,

and he will restore their fortunes.

6 The Kerethites live in the land by the sea.

It will become a place for shepherds and sheep pens.

7 It will belong to those who are still left alive

among the people of Judah.

They will find grasslands there.

They will take over

the houses in Ashkelon and live in them.

The Lord their God will take care of them.

He will bless them with great success again.

6 So the seacoast will be pastures,

With caves for shepherds and folds for flocks.

7 And the coast will be

For the remnant of the house of Judah,

They will pasture on it.

In the houses of Ashkelon they will lie down at evening;

For the Lord their God will care for them

And restore their fortune.
