Zephaniah 1:8–9

8 “On the day of the Lord’s sacrifice

I will punish the officials

and the king’s sons

and all those clad

in foreign clothes.

9 On that day I will punish

all who avoid stepping on the threshold,

who fill the temple of their gods

with violence and deceit.

8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the Lord’s sacrifice,

That I will punish the princes, and the king’s children,

And all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

9 In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold,

Which fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit.

8 “On that day of judgment,”

says the Lord,

“I will punish the leaders and princes of Judah

and all those following pagan customs.

9 Yes, I will punish those who participate in pagan worship ceremonies,

and those who fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit.

8 “And it shall be,

In the day of the Lord’s sacrifice,

That I will punish the princes and the king’s children,

And all such as are clothed with foreign apparel.

9 In the same day I will punish

All those who leap over the threshold,

Who fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit.

8 On the day of the Lord’s sacrifice,

I, the Lord, will punish the princes and the king’s sons

and all those who wear foreign clothes.

9 On that day I will punish those who worship Dagon,

those who hurt others and tell lies in the temples of their gods.

8 And it shall come to pass in the day of Jehovah’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s sons, and all such as are clothed with foreign apparel. 9 And in that day I will punish all those that leap over the threshold, that fill their master’s house with violence and deceit.

8 And it shall come to pass in the day of Jehovah’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s sons, and all such as are clothed with foreign apparel. 9 And in that day will I punish all those that leap over the threshold, who fill their master’s house with violence and deceit.

8 “On the day of the Lord’s sacrifice I will punish the officials, 

the king’s sons, and all who dress in foreign clothing.

9 On that day I will punish all who jump over the doorway 

and all who fill their master’s house with violence and deception. 

8 On the day of the Lord’s sacrifice

I will punish the officials, the king’s sons,

and all who are dressed in foreign clothing.

9 On that day I will punish

all who skip over the threshold,

who fill their master’s house

with violence and deceit.

8 And on the day of the Lord’s sacrifice

I will punish the officials and the king’s sons

and all who dress themselves in foreign attire.

9 On that day I will punish

all who leap over the threshold,

who fill their master’s house

with violence and fraud.

8 And it will happen on the day of the sacrifice of Yahweh,

I will punish the officials,

and the sons of the king,

and all those who dress in foreign clothing.

9 And on that day I will punish

all who leap over the threshold,

who fill up the house of their master

with violence and deceit.

8 When my sacrifice is ready to be offered,

I will punish the princes and the king’s sons.

I will also judge all those who follow

the practices of other nations.

9 At that time I will punish

all those who worship other gods.

They fill the temples of their gods

with lies and other harmful things.

8 “Then it will come about on the day of the Lord’s sacrifice

That I will punish the princes, the king’s sons

And all who clothe themselves with foreign garments.

9 “And I will punish on that day all who leap on the temple threshold,

Who fill the house of their lord with violence and deceit.
