5 Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, “Look up and see what is appearing.”

6 I asked, “What is it?”

He replied, “It is a basket.” And he added, “This is the iniquity of the people throughout the land.”

7 Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman! 8 He said, “This is wickedness,” and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed its lead cover down on it.

5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth. 6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. 7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. 8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

5 Then the angel who was talking with me came forward and said, “Look up and see what’s coming.”

6 “What is it?” I asked.

He replied, “It is a basket for measuring grain, and it’s filled with the sins of everyone throughout the land.”

7 Then the heavy lead cover was lifted off the basket, and there was a woman sitting inside it. 8 The angel said, “The woman’s name is Wickedness,” and he pushed her back into the basket and closed the heavy lid again.

5 Then the angel who talked with me came out and said to me, “Lift your eyes now, and see what this is that goes forth.”

6 So I asked, “What is it?” And he said, “It is a basket that is going forth.”

He also said, “This is their resemblance throughout the earth: 7 Here is a lead disc lifted up, and this is a woman sitting inside the basket”; 8 then he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he thrust her down into the basket, and threw the lead cover over its mouth.

5 Then the angel who was talking with me came forward and said to me, “Look up and see what is going out.”

6 “What is it?” I asked.

He answered, “It is a measuring basket going out.” He also said, “It is a symbol of the people’s sins in all the land.”

7 Then the lid made of lead was raised, and there was a woman sitting inside the basket. 8 The angel said, “The woman stands for wickedness.” Then he pushed her back into the basket and put the lid back down.

5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth. 6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is the ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their appearance in all the land 7 (and, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead); and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the ephah. 8 And he said, This is Wickedness: and he cast her down into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

5 The angel who was speaking with me came forward. He said, “Look up, and see what’s coming.” 

6 “What is it?” I asked. 

“A basket is coming,” he said. Then he added, “This is what the people’s sins look like all over the earth.”7 A lead cover ⸤on the basket⸥ was raised, and a woman was sitting in the basket. 8 The angel said, “This is wickedness,” and he pushed her back into the basket and forced the lead cover down on top of it. 

5 Then the angel who was speaking with me came forward and told me, “Look up and see what this is that is approaching.”

6 So I asked, “What is it?”

He responded, “It’s a measuring basket that is approaching.” And he continued, “This is their iniquity in all the land.” 7 Then a lead cover was lifted, and there was a woman sitting inside the basket. 8 “This is Wickedness,” he said. He shoved her down into the basket and pushed the lead weight over its opening.

5 Then the angel who spoke with me came forward and said to me, “Look up and see what this is that is coming out.” 6 I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is a basket coming out.” And he said, “This is their iniquity in the whole land.” 7 Then a leaden cover was lifted, and there was a woman sitting in the basket! 8 And he said, “This is Wickedness.” So he thrust her back into the basket and pressed the leaden weight down on its mouth.

5 And the angel who was speaking to me went out, and he said to me, “Please look up! See what this is going out.” 6 And I asked, “What is it?” And he said, “This is a basket going out. And he said, “This is their iniquity throughout all the earth. 7 And look, the lead cover was lifted and a woman was sitting inside the basket. 8 And he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he thrust her back down into the basket, and threw the lead cover on top of it.

5 Then the angel who was talking with me came forward. He said to me, “Look at what is coming.”

6 “What is it?” I asked.

“A measuring basket,” he replied. “The sins of the people all through the land are in it.”

7 Then the basket’s cover was lifted up. It was made out of lead. A woman was sitting in the basket! 8 The angel said, “She stands for everything that is evil.” Then he pushed her down into the basket. He put the lead cover back over its opening.

5 Then the angel who was speaking with me went out and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is going forth.”

6 I said, “What is it?” And he said, “This is the ephah going forth.” Again he said, “This is their appearance in all the land

7 (and behold, a lead cover was lifted up); and this is a woman sitting inside the ephah.”

8 Then he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he threw her down into the middle of the ephah and cast the lead weight on its opening.
