25 As he says in Hosea:

“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people;

and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,”

26 and,

“In the very place where it was said to them,

there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’ ”

27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:

“Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea,

only the remnant will be saved.

28 For the Lord will carry out

his sentence on earth with speed and finality.”

Romans 9:25–28 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. 26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God. 27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

Romans 9:25–28 — New Living Translation (NLT)

25 Concerning the Gentiles, God says in the prophecy of Hosea,

“Those who were not my people,

I will now call my people.

And I will love those

whom I did not love before.”

26 And,

“Then, at the place where they were told,

‘You are not my people,’

there they will be called

‘children of the living God.’ ”

27 And concerning Israel, Isaiah the prophet cried out,

“Though the people of Israel are as numerous as the sand of the seashore,

only a remnant will be saved.

28 For the Lord will carry out his sentence upon the earth

quickly and with finality.”

Romans 9:25–28 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

25 As He says also in Hosea:

“I will call them My people, who were not My people,

And her beloved, who was not beloved.”

26 “And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them,

You are not My people,’

There they shall be called sons of the living God.”

27 Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel:

“Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea,

The remnant will be saved.

28 For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness,

Because the Lord will make a short work upon the earth.”

Romans 9:25–28 — New Century Version (NCV)

25 As the Scripture says in Hosea:

“I will say, ‘You are my people’

to those I had called ‘not my people.’

And I will show my love

to those people I did not love.”

26 “They were called,

‘You are not my people,’

but later they will be called

‘children of the living God.’ ”

27 And Isaiah cries out about Israel:

“The people of Israel are many,

like the grains of sand by the sea.

But only a few of them will be saved,

28 because the Lord will quickly and completely punish the
people on the earth.”

Romans 9:25–28 — American Standard Version (ASV)

25 As he saith also in Hosea,

I will call that my people, which was not my people;

And her beloved, that was not beloved.

26 And it shall be, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people,

There shall they be called sons of the living God.

27 And Isaiah crieth concerning Israel, If the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, it is the remnant that shall be saved: 28 for the Lord will execute his word upon the earth, finishing it and cutting it short.

Romans 9:25–28 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

they will be called children of the living God.”

27 Isaiah also says about Israel:

27 But Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:

Though the number of Israel’s sons

only the remnant will be saved;

28 for the Lord will execute His sentence

completely and decisively on the earth.
