for you alone, Lord,

make me dwell in safety.

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:

For thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

Psalm 4:6–8 — New Living Translation (NLT)

Many people say, “Who will show us better times?”

for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.

because, Lord, only you keep me safe.

Psalm 4:6–8 — American Standard Version (ASV)

Many there are that say,

Who will show us any good?

Jehovah, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

For thou, Jehovah, alone makest me dwell in safety.

In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; for thou, Jehovah, alone makest me to dwell in safety.

Psalm 4:6–8 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Many are saying, “Who can show us anything good?”
