Psalm 104:13–16

13 He waters the mountains from his upper chambers;

the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work.

14 He makes grass grow for the cattle,

and plants for people to cultivate—

bringing forth food from the earth:

15 wine that gladdens human hearts,

oil to make their faces shine,

and bread that sustains their hearts.

16 The trees of the Lord are well watered,

the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.

13 He watereth the hills from his chambers:

The earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle,

And herb for the service of man:

That he may bring forth food out of the earth;

15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man,

And oil to make his face to shine,

And bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.

16 The trees of the Lord are full of sap;

The cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;

13 You send rain on the mountains from your heavenly home,

and you fill the earth with the fruit of your labor.

14 You cause grass to grow for the livestock

and plants for people to use.

You allow them to produce food from the earth—

15 wine to make them glad,

olive oil to soothe their skin,

and bread to give them strength.

16 The trees of the Lord are well cared for—

the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.

14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,

And vegetation for the service of man,

That he may bring forth food from the earth,

15 And wine that makes glad the heart of man,

Oil to make his face shine,

And bread which strengthens man’s heart.

16 The trees of the Lord are full of sap,

The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,

13 You water the mountains from above.

The earth is full of the things you made.

14 You make the grass for cattle

and vegetables for the people.

You make food grow from the earth.

15 You give us wine that makes happy hearts

and olive oil that makes our faces shine.

You give us bread that gives us strength.

16 The Lord’s trees have plenty of water;

they are the cedars of Lebanon, which he planted.

16 The trees of Jehovah are filled with moisture,

The cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;

13 He watereth the mountains from his upper-chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. 14 He maketh the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; bringing forth bread out of the earth, 15 And wine which gladdeneth the heart of man; making his face shine with oil; and with bread he strengtheneth man’s heart. 16 The trees of Jehovah are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted,

13 You water the mountains from your home above. 

You fill the earth with the fruits of your labors. 

14 You make grass grow for cattle 

and make vegetables for humans to use 

in order to get food from the ground. 

15 You make wine to cheer human hearts, 

olive oil to make faces shine, 

and bread to strengthen human hearts. 

16 The Lord’s trees, the cedars in Lebanon which he planted, 

drink their fill. 

13 He waters the mountains from His palace;

the earth is satisfied by the fruit of Your labor.

14 He causes grass to grow for the livestock

and provides crops for man to cultivate,

producing food from the earth,

15 wine that makes man’s heart glad—

making his face shine with oil—

and bread that sustains man’s heart.

16 The trees of the Lord flourish,

the cedars of Lebanon that He planted.

13 From your lofty abode you water the mountains;

the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work.

14 You cause the grass to grow for the cattle

and plants for people to cultivate,

to bring forth food from the earth

15 and wine to gladden the human heart,

oil to make the face shine

and bread to strengthen the human heart.

16 The trees of the field are watered abundantly,

the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.

13 You are the one who waters the mountains

from his upper chambers.

The earth is full with the fruit of your labors:

14 who causes grass to grow for the cattle

and herbs for the service of humankind,

to bring forth food from the earth,

15 and wine that makes glad the heart of man,

so that their faces shine from oil,

and bread that strengthens the heart of man.

16 The trees of Yahweh drink their fill,

the cedars of Lebanon that he planted,

13 You water the mountains from your palace high in the clouds.

The earth is filled with the things you have made.

14 You make grass grow for the cattle

and plants for people to take care of.

That’s how they get food from the earth.

15 There is wine to make people glad.

There is olive oil to make them healthy.

And there is bread to make them strong.

16 The cedar trees of Lebanon belong to the Lord.

You planted them and gave them plenty of water.
