They have no struggles;

their bodies are healthy and strong.

they clothe themselves with violence.

From their callous hearts comes iniquity;

their evil imaginations have no limits.

Psalm 73:4–7 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

For there are no bands in their death:

But their strength is firm.

They are not in trouble as other men;

Neither are they plagued like other men.

Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain;

Violence covereth them as a garment.

Their eyes stand out with fatness:

They have more than heart could wish.

Psalm 73:4–7 — New Living Translation (NLT)

They seem to live such painless lives;

their bodies are so healthy and strong.

They don’t have troubles like other people;

they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else.

They wear pride like a jeweled necklace

and clothe themselves with cruelty.

These fat cats have everything

their hearts could ever wish for!

Psalm 73:4–7 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

For there are no pangs in their death,

But their strength is firm.

They are not in trouble as other men,

Nor are they plagued like other men.

Violence covers them like a garment.

Their eyes bulge with abundance;

They have more than heart could wish.

Psalm 73:4–7 — New Century Version (NCV)

They are not suffering;

they are healthy and strong.

They wear pride like a necklace

and put on violence as their clothing.

They are looking for profits

and do not control their selfish desires.

Psalm 73:4–7 — American Standard Version (ASV)

For there are no pangs in their death;

But their strength is firm.

They are not in trouble as other men;

Neither are they plagued like other men.

Therefore pride is as a chain about their neck;

Violence covereth them as a garment.

Their eyes stand out with fatness:

They have more than heart could wish.

Psalm 73:4–7 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

For they have no pangs in their death, and their body is well nourished; They have not the hardships of mankind, neither are they plagued like other men: Therefore pride encompasseth them as a neck-chain, violence covereth them as a garment; Their eyes stand out from fatness, they exceed the imaginations of their heart:

Psalm 73:4–7 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

They suffer no pain.

Their bodies are healthy.

They have no drudgery in their lives like ordinary people.

They are not plagued ⸤with problems⸥ like others.

That is why they wear arrogance like a necklace

and acts of violence like clothing.

Their eyes peer out from their fat faces,

and their imaginations run wild.

Psalm 73:4–7 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

They have an easy time until they die,

and their bodies are well fed.

They are not in trouble like others;

they are not afflicted like most people.

Therefore, pride is their necklace,

and violence covers them like a garment.

Their eyes bulge out from fatness;

the imaginations of their hearts run wild.

Psalm 73:4–7 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

For they have no pain;

their bodies are sound and sleek.

They are not in trouble as others are;

they are not plagued like other people.

violence covers them like a garment.

Their eyes swell out with fatness;

their hearts overflow with follies.

Psalm 73:4–7 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

For there are no pains up to their death,

an outfit of violence covers them.

Their eye bulges from fat.

Imaginings overflow their heart.

Psalm 73:4–7 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

They don’t have any troubles.

Their bodies are healthy and strong.

They don’t have the problems others have.

They don’t suffer as other people do.

Their pride is like a necklace.

They put on meanness as if it were their clothes.

Many sins come out of their hard and stubborn hearts.

There is no limit to their proud and evil thoughts.

Psalm 73:4–7 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

For there are no pains in their death,

And their body is fat.

They are not in trouble as other men,

The garment of violence covers them.

Their eye bulges from fatness;

The imaginations of their heart run riot.
