1 I will exalt you, Lord,

for you lifted me out of the depths

and did not let my enemies gloat over me.

2 Lord my God, I called to you for help,

and you healed me.

3 You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead;

you spared me from going down to the pit.

4 Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people;

praise his holy name.

5 For his anger lasts only a moment,

but his favor lasts a lifetime;

weeping may stay for the night,

but rejoicing comes in the morning.

1 I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up,

And hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life:

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

and you restored my health.

You kept me from falling into the pit of death.

but his favor lasts a lifetime!

Weeping may last through the night,

but joy comes with the morning.

And give thanks to his holy memorial name.

5 For his anger is but for a moment;

His favor is for a life-time:

Weeping may tarry for the night,

But joy cometh in the morning.

1 I will extol thee, Jehovah; for thou hast delivered me, and hast not made mine enemies to rejoice over me. 2 Jehovah my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3 Jehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol, thou hast quickened me from among those that go down to the pit. 4 Sing psalms unto Jehovah, ye saints of his, and give thanks in remembrance of his holiness. 5 For a moment is passed in his anger, a life in his favour; at even weeping cometh for the night, and at morn there is rejoicing.

1 I will honor you highly, O Lord, 

because you have pulled me out ⸤of the pit⸥ 

and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.

I cried out to you for help, 

and you healed me.

You called me back to life 

from among those who had gone into the pit. 

4 Make music to praise the Lord, you faithful people who belong to him. 

Remember his holiness by giving thanks. 

5 His anger lasts only a moment. 

His favor lasts a lifetime.

but there is a song of joy in the morning.

because you have drawn me up,

3 O Yahweh, you have brought my life up from Sheol.

You preserved me alive

from among those going down to the pit.

4 Sing praises to Yahweh, you his faithful ones,

and give thanks to his holy fame.

5 For there is a moment in his anger;

there is a lifetime in his favor.

Weeping lodges for the evening,

but in the morning comes rejoicing.

1 Lord, I will give you honor.

You brought me out of deep trouble.

You didn’t give my enemies the joy of seeing me die.

2 Lord my God, I called out to you for help.

And you healed me.

3 Lord, you brought me up from the edge of the grave.

You kept me from going down into the pit.

4 Sing to the Lord, you who are faithful to him.

Praise him, because his name is holy.

5 His anger lasts for only a moment.

But his favor lasts for a person’s whole life.

Sobbing can remain through the night.

But joy comes in the morning.
