Numbers 1:2–5

2 “Take a census of the whole Israelite community by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one. 3 You and Aaron are to count according to their divisions all the men in Israel who are twenty years old or more and able to serve in the army. 4 One man from each tribe, each of them the head of his family, is to help you. 5 These are the names of the men who are to assist you:

from Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;

2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls; 3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies. 4 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.

5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.

2 “From the whole community of Israel, record the names of all the warriors by their clans and families. List all the men 3 twenty years old or older who are able to go to war. You and Aaron must register the troops, 4 and you will be assisted by one family leader from each tribe.

5 “These are the tribes and the names of the leaders who will assist you:

2 “Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, every male individually, 3 from twenty years old and above—all who are able to go to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their armies. 4 And with you there shall be a man from every tribe, each one the head of his father’s house.

5 “These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: from Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;

2 “You and Aaron must count all the people of Israel by families and family groups, listing the name of each man. 3 You and Aaron must count every man twenty years old or older who will serve in the army of Israel, and list them by their divisions. 4 One man from each tribe, the leader of his family, will help you. 5 These are the names of the men who will help you:

from the tribe of Reuben—Elizur son of Shedeur;

2 Take the sum of the whole assembly of the children of Israel, after their families, according to their fathers’ houses, by the number of the names, every male, according to their polls; 3 from twenty years and upward, all that go forth to military service in Israel: ye shall number them according to their hosts, thou and Aaron. 4 And with you there shall be a man for every tribe, a man who is the head of his father’s house. 5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: for Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;

2 “Take a census of the whole community of Israel by families and households. List every man by name 3 who is at least 20 years old. You and Aaron must register everyone in Israel who is eligible for military duty. List them by divisions. 4 One man from each tribe will help you. Each of these men must be the head of a household. 

5 “Here are the names of the men who will help you: 

Elizur, son of Shedeur, from the tribe of Reuben; 

2 “Take a census of the entire Israelite community by their clans and their ancestral houses, counting the names of every male one by one. 3 You and Aaron are to register those who are 20 years old or more by their military divisions—everyone who can serve in Israel’s army. 4 A man from each tribe is to be with you, each one the head of his ancestral house. 5 These are the names of the men who are to assist you:

Elizur son of Shedeur from Reuben;

2 “Take a census of the whole congregation of Israelites, in their clans, by ancestral houses, according to the number of names, every male individually, 3 from twenty years old and up, everyone in Israel able to go to war. You and Aaron shall enroll them, company by company. 4 A man from each tribe shall be with you, each man the head of his ancestral house. 5 These are the names of the men who shall assist you:

2 “Take a census of the entire community of the Israelites according to their clans and their families, according to the number of names, every male individually 3 from twenty years old and above, everyone in Israel who is able to go to war. You and Aaron must muster them for their wars. 4 A man from each tribe will be with you, each man the head of his family. 5 And these are the names of the men who will assist you: from Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;

2 “Count all of the men of Israel. Make a list of them by their tribes and families. List every man by name. List them one by one. 3 Count all of the men who are able to serve in the army. They must be 20 years old or more. I want you and Aaron to make a list of them company by company. 4 One man from each tribe must help you. Those who help must be the heads of their families.

5 “Here are the names of the men who must help you.

“From the tribe of Reuben will come Elizur, the son of Shedeur.

2 “Take a census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ households, according to the number of names, every male, head by head

3 from twenty years old and upward, whoever is able to go out to war in Israel, you and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

4 “With you, moreover, there shall be a man of each tribe, each one head of his father’s household.

5 “These then are the names of the men who shall stand with you: of Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;
