Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles

mAnd he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, nand he sent them out to oproclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. pAnd he said to them, Take nothing for your journey, qno staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.1 And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. Luke 9:1–6 — The New International Version (NIV)

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He told them: Take nothing for the journeyno staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere.

The apostles went from village to village, told the Good News, and cured the sick everywhere.

So the Twelve left. They went from village to village. They preached the good news and healed people everywhere.
