Leviticus 7:3–7 — The New International Version (NIV)
3 All its fat shall be offered: the fat tail and the fat that covers the internal organs, 4 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which is to be removed with the kidneys. 5 The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering presented to the Lord. It is a guilt offering. 6 Any male in a priest’s family may eat it, but it must be eaten in the sanctuary area; it is most holy.
7 “ ‘The same law applies to both the sin offering and the guilt offering: They belong to the priest who makes atonement with them.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
3 And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof; the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards, 4 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul that is above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away: 5 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a trespass offering. 6 Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy. 7 As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — New Living Translation (NLT)
3 The priest will then offer all its fat on the altar, including the fat of the broad tail, the fat around the internal organs, 4 the two kidneys and the fat around them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver. These are to be removed with the kidneys, 5 and the priests will burn them on the altar as a special gift presented to the Lord. This is the guilt offering. 6 Any male from a priest’s family may eat the meat. It must be eaten in a sacred place, for it is most holy.
7 “The same instructions apply to both the guilt offering and the sin offering. Both belong to the priest who uses them to purify someone, making that person right with the Lord.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — The New King James Version (NKJV)
3 And he shall offer from it all its fat. The fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails, 4 the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove; 5 and the priest shall burn them on the altar as an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a trespass offering. 6 Every male among the priests may eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place. It is most holy. 7 The trespass offering is like the sin offering; there is one law for them both: the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — New Century Version (NCV)
3 He must offer all the fat from the penalty offering—the fat tail, the fat that covers the inner organs, 4 both kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the best part of the liver, which is to be removed with the kidneys. 5 The priest must burn all these things on the altar as an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a penalty offering. 6 Any male in a priest’s family may eat it. It is most holy, so it must be eaten in a holy place.
7 “ ‘The penalty offering is like the sin offering in that the teachings are the same for both. The priest who offers the sacrifice to remove sins will get the meat for food.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — American Standard Version (ASV)
3 And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof: the fat tail, and the fat that covereth the inwards, 4 and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the caul upon the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away; 5 and the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto Jehovah: it is a trespass-offering. 6 Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in a holy place: it is most holy. 7 As is the sin-offering, so is the trespass-offering; there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith, he shall have it.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)
3 And he shall present of it all the fat thereof; the fat tail and the fat that covereth the inwards, 4 and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the net above the liver, which he shall take away as far as the kidneys. 5 And the priest shall burn them on the altar, an offering by fire to Jehovah: it is a trespass-offering. 6 Every male among the priests shall eat thereof; in a holy place shall it be eaten: it is most holy. 7 As the sin-offering, so is the trespass-offering; there shall be one law for them: it shall be the priest’s who maketh atonement therewith.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
3 He will offer all the fat, the fat from the tail, the fat covering the internal organs, 4 and the two kidneys with the fat on them. He will also remove the lobe of the liver along with the kidneys. 5 The priest will burn them on the altar. It is a guilt offering by fire to the Lord. 6 Any male among the priests may eat it. It will be eaten in a holy place. It is very holy.
7 “The same instructions apply to the offering for sin and the guilt offering. Both offerings belong to the priest to make peace with the Lord.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
3 The offerer must present all the fat from it: the fat tail, the fat surrounding the entrails, 4 and the two kidneys with the fat on them at the loins; he will also remove the fatty lobe of the liver with the kidneys. 5 The priest will burn them on the altar as a fire offering to the Lord; it is a restitution offering. 6 Any male among the priests may eat it. It is to be eaten in a holy place; it is especially holy.
7 “The restitution offering is like the sin offering; the law is the same for both. It belongs to the priest who makes atonement with it.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
3 All its fat shall be offered: the broad tail, the fat that covers the entrails, 4 the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the appendage of the liver, which shall be removed with the kidneys. 5 The priest shall turn them into smoke on the altar as an offering by fire to the Lord; it is a guilt offering. 6 Every male among the priests shall eat of it; it shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.
7 The guilt offering is like the sin offering, there is the same ritual for them; the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)
3 And he must present all of its fat: the fat tail and the fat that covers the inner parts, 4 and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and he must remove the lobe on the liver in addition to the kidneys. 5 And the priest shall turn it into smoke on the altar as a food offering made by fire for Yahweh; it is a guilt offering. 6 Every male among the priests may eat it; it must be eaten in a holy place; it is a most holy thing. 7 The instruction is the same for the guilt offering as for the sin offering; it belongs to the priest, who makes atonement with it.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)
3 “ ‘Offer all of its fat. It must include the fat tail and the fat that covers the inside parts. 4 It must include both kidneys with the fat on them next to the lower back muscles. It must also include the covering of the liver. Remove all of it together with the kidneys. 5 The priest must burn all of it on the altar. It is an offering that is made to the Lord with fire. It is a guilt offering.
6 “ ‘Any male in a priest’s family can eat it. But he must eat it in a holy place. It is very holy.
7 “ ‘The same law applies to the sin offering and the guilt offering. Both of them belong to the priest who offers them to pay for sin.
Leviticus 7:3–7 — New American Standard Bible (1995) (NASB95)
3 ‘Then he shall offer from it all its fat: the fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails,
4 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the lobe on the liver he shall remove with the kidneys.
5 ‘The priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as an offering by fire to the Lord; it is a guilt offering.
6 ‘Every male among the priests may eat of it. It shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.
7 ‘The guilt offering is like the sin offering, there is one law for them; the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.
