John 9:3–5
John 9:3–5 — The New International Version (NIV)
3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
John 9:3–5 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
John 9:3–5 — New Living Translation (NLT)
3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him. 4 We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. 5 But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world.”
John 9:3–5 — The New King James Version (NKJV)
3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. 4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
John 9:3–5 — New Century Version (NCV)
3 Jesus answered, “It is not this man’s sin or his parents’ sin that made him blind. This man was born blind so that God’s power could be shown in him. 4 While it is daytime, we must continue doing the work of the One who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
John 9:3–5 — American Standard Version (ASV)
3 Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 We must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 When I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
John 9:3–5 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

John 9:3–5 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned. Instead, he was born blind so that God could show what he can do for him. 4 We must do what the one who sent me wants us to do while it is day. John 9:3–5 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

John 9:3–5 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

John 9:3–5 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

John 9:3–5 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)
3 “It isn’t because this man sinned,” said Jesus. “It isn’t because his parents sinned. Then no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
