The Future of Bible Study Is Here.
Job 6:21–23
21 For you have now become nothing;
you see my calamity and are afraid.
22 Have I said, ‘Make me a gift’?
Or, ‘From your wealth offer a bribe for me’?
23 Or, ‘Deliver me from the adversary’s hand’?
Or, ‘Redeem me from the hand of nthe ruthless’?
Job 6:21–23 — New International Version (2011) (NIV)
21 Now you too have proved to be of no help;
you see something dreadful and are afraid.
22 Have I ever said, ‘Give something on my behalf,
pay a ransom for me from your wealth,
23 deliver me from the hand of the enemy,
rescue me from the clutches of the ruthless’?
Job 6:21–23 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
21 For now ye are nothing;
Ye see my casting down, and are afraid.
22 Did I say, Bring unto me?
Or, Give a reward for me of your substance?
23 Or, Deliver me from the enemy’s hand?
Or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?
Job 6:21–23 — New Living Translation (NLT)
21 You, too, have given no help.
You have seen my calamity, and you are afraid.
22 But why? Have I ever asked you for a gift?
Have I begged for anything of yours for myself?
23 Have I asked you to rescue me from my enemies,
or to save me from ruthless people?
Job 6:21–23 — The New King James Version (NKJV)
21 For now you are nothing,
You see terror and are afraid.
22 Did I ever say, ‘Bring something to me’?
Or, ‘Offer a bribe for me from your wealth’?
23 Or, ‘Deliver me from the enemy’s hand’?
Or, ‘Redeem me from the hand of oppressors’?
Job 6:21–23 — New Century Version (NCV)
21 You also have been no help.
You see something terrible, and you are afraid.
22 I have never said, ‘Give me a gift.
Use your wealth to pay my debt.
23 Save me from the enemy’s power.
Buy me back from the clutches of cruel people.’
Job 6:21–23 — American Standard Version (ASV)
21 For now ye are nothing;
Ye see a terror, and are afraid.
22 Did I say, Give unto me?
Or, Offer a present for me of your substance?
23 Or, Deliver me from the adversary’s hand?
Or, Redeem me from the hand of the oppressors?
Job 6:21–23 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)
21 So now ye are nothing; ye see a terrible object and are afraid.
22 Did I say, Bring unto me, and make me a present from your substance? 23 Or, rescue me from the hand of the oppressor, and redeem me from the hand of the violent?
Job 6:21–23 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
21 “So you are as unreliable to me ⸤as they are⸥.
You see something terrifying, and you are afraid.
22 Did I ever say, ‘Give me a gift,’
or ‘Offer me a bribe from your wealth,’
23 or ‘Rescue me from an enemy,’
or ‘Ransom me from a tyrant’?
Job 6:21–23 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
21 So this is what you have now become to me.
When you see something dreadful, you are afraid.
22 Have I ever said: “Give me something”
or “Pay a bribe for me from your wealth”
23 or “Deliver me from the enemy’s power”
or “Redeem me from the grasp of the ruthless”?
Job 6:21–23 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
21 Such you have now become to me;
you see my calamity, and are afraid.
22 Have I said, ‘Make me a gift’?
Or, ‘From your wealth offer a bribe for me’?
23 Or, ‘Save me from an opponent’s hand’?
Or, ‘Ransom me from the hand of oppressors’?
Job 6:21–23 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)
21 “For now you have become such;
you see terrors, and you fear.
22 Is it because I have said, ‘Give to me,’
or, ‘Offer a bribe for me from your wealth’?
23 or, ‘Save me from the foe’s hand,’
or, ‘Ransom me from the tyrants’ hand’?
Job 6:21–23 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)
21 And now, my friends, you haven’t helped me either.
You see the horrible condition I’m in.
And that makes you afraid.
22 I’ve never said, ‘Give me something to help me.
Use your wealth to set me free.
23 Save me from the powerful hand of my enemy.
Set me free from the power of mean people.’
Job 6:21–23 — New American Standard Bible (1995) (NASB95)
21 “Indeed, you have now become such,
You see a terror and are afraid.
22 “Have I said, ‘Give me something,’
Or, ‘Offer a bribe for me from your wealth,’
23 Or, ‘Deliver me from the hand of the adversary,’
Or, ‘Redeem me from the hand of the tyrants’?
