just seeing it overwhelms people.

9 Lo, hope as to him is belied: is not one cast down even at the sight of him?

9 Certainly, any hope ⸤of defeating it⸥ is a false hope. 

Doesn’t the sight of it overwhelm you? 

9 Any hope of capturing him proves false.

Does a person not collapse at the very sight of him?

9 Any hope of capturing it will be disappointed;

were not even the gods overwhelmed at the sight of it?

9 “Look, the hope of capturing it is false.

Will one be hurled down even at its sight?

9 No one can possibly control the leviathan.

Just looking at it will terrify you.

9 “Behold, your expectation is false;

Will you be laid low even at the sight of him?
