15 Do you know how God controls the clouds

and makes his lightning flash?

16 Do you know how the clouds hang poised,

those wonders of him who has perfect knowledge?

17 You who swelter in your clothes

when the land lies hushed under the south wind,

18 can you join him in spreading out the skies,

hard as a mirror of cast bronze?

15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, And caused the light of his cloud to shine? 16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, The wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge? 17 How thy garments are warm, When he quieteth the earth by the south wind? 18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, Which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

15 Do you know how God controls the storm

and causes the lightning to flash from his clouds?

16 Do you understand how he moves the clouds

with wonderful perfection and skill?

17 When you are sweltering in your clothes

and the south wind dies down and everything is still,

18 he makes the skies reflect the heat like a bronze mirror.

Can you do that?

15 Do you know when God dispatches them,

And causes the light of His cloud to shine?

16 Do you know how the clouds are balanced,

Those wondrous works of Him who is perfect in knowledge?

17 Why are your garments hot,

When He quiets the earth by the south wind?

18 With Him, have you spread out the skies,

Strong as a cast metal mirror?

15 Do you know how God controls the clouds

and makes his lightning flash?

16 Do you know how the clouds hang in the sky?

Do you know the miracles of God, who knows everything?

17 You suffer in your clothes

when the land is silenced by the hot, south wind.

18 You cannot stretch out the sky like God

and make it look as hard as polished bronze.

15 Dost thou know how God layeth his charge upon them,

And causeth the lightning of his cloud to shine?

16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds,

The wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?

17 How thy garments are warm,

When the earth is still by reason of the south wind?

18 Canst thou with him spread out the sky,

Which is strong as a molten mirror?

15 Dost thou know how †God hath disposed them, and how he causeth the lightning of his cloud to flash? 16 Dost thou know about the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him that is perfect in knowledge? 17 How thy garments become warm when he quieteth the earth by the south wind? 18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, firm, like a molten mirror?

15 Do you know how God controls them

(these are the miracles of the one who knows everything), 

17 you whose clothes are hot and sweaty, 

when the earth is calm under a south wind? 

18 Can you stretch out the skies with him 

and make them as firm as a mirror made of metal? 

15 Do you know how God directs His clouds

or makes their lightning flash?

16 Do you understand how the clouds float,

those wonderful works of Him who has perfect knowledge?

17 You whose clothes get hot

when the south wind brings calm to the land,

18 can you help God spread out the skies

as hard as a cast metal mirror?

15 Do you know how God lays his command upon them,

and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine?

16 Do you know the balancings of the clouds,

the wondrous works of the one whose knowledge is perfect,

17 you whose garments are hot

when the earth is still because of the south wind?

18 Can you, like him, spread out the skies,

hard as a molten mirror?

15 Do you know how God commands them

and how he causes his cloud’s lightning to shine?

16 Do you know about the hovering of the clouds,

the marvelous works of the one with perfect knowledge?

17 You whose garments are hot,

when the earth is being still because of the south wind,

18 with him can you spread out the skies,

hard as a molten mirror?

15 Do you know how he controls the clouds?

Do you understand how he makes his lightning flash?

16 Do you know how the clouds stay up in the sky?

Do you understand the wonders of the One who has perfect knowledge?

17 Even your clothes are too hot for you

when the land lies quiet under the south wind.

18 Can you help God spread out the skies?

They are as hard as a mirror

that’s made out of bronze.

15 “Do you know how God establishes them,

And makes the lightning of His cloud to shine?

16 “Do you know about the layers of the thick clouds,

The wonders of one perfect in knowledge,

17 You whose garments are hot,

When the land is still because of the south wind?

18 “Can you, with Him, spread out the skies,

Strong as a molten mirror?
