45 “Come out of her, my people!

Run for your lives!

Run from the fierce anger of the Lord.

46 Do not lose heart or be afraid

when rumors are heard in the land;

one rumor comes this year, another the next,

rumors of violence in the land

and of ruler against ruler.

45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, And deliver ye every man his soul From the fierce anger of the Lord. 46 And lest your heart faint, And ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; A rumour shall both come one year, And after that in another year shall come a rumour, And violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

45 “Come out, my people, flee from Babylon.

Save yourselves! Run from the Lord’s fierce anger.

46 But do not panic; don’t be afraid

when you hear the first rumor of approaching forces.

For rumors will keep coming year by year.

Violence will erupt in the land

as the leaders fight against each other.

45 “My people, go out of the midst of her!

And let everyone deliver himself from the fierce anger of the Lord.

46 And lest your heart faint,

And you fear for the rumor that will be heard in the land

(A rumor will come one year,

And after that, in another year

A rumor will come,

And violence in the land,

Ruler against ruler),

45 “Come out of Babylon, my people!

Run for your lives!

Run from the Lord’s great anger.

46 Don’t lose courage;

rumors will spread through the land, but don’t be afraid.

One rumor comes this year, and another comes the next year.

There will be rumors of terrible fighting in the country,

of rulers fighting against rulers.

45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and save yourselves every man from the fierce anger of Jehovah. 46 And let not your heart faint, neither fear ye for the tidings that shall be heard in the land; for tidings shall come one year, and after that in another year shall come tidings, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

45 Go ye out of the midst of her, my people, and deliver every man his soul from the fierce anger of Jehovah! 46 lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; for a rumour shall come one year, and after that a rumour in another year, and violence in the earth, ruler against ruler.

45 “Leave it, my people! 

Run for your lives! 

Run from the burning anger of the Lord. 

46 Don’t lose courage or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land. 

One rumor comes one year; another rumor comes the next year. 

Rumors of violence are in the land. 

Rumors that one ruler will fight against another are in the land. 

45 Come out from among her, My people!

Save your lives, each of you,

from the Lord’s burning anger.

46 May you not become cowardly and fearful

when the report is proclaimed in the land,

for the report will come one year,

and then another the next year.

There will be violence in the land

with ruler against ruler.

45 Come out of her, my people!

Save your lives, each of you,

from the fierce anger of the Lord!

46 Do not be fainthearted or fearful

at the rumors heard in the land—

one year one rumor comes,

the next year another,

rumors of violence in the land

and of ruler against ruler.

45 Come out from her midst, my people,

and save each one his life

from the burning anger of Yahweh.

46 Now so that you are not fainthearted,

and you are afraid at the rumors that are heard in the land—

and in the year the rumor comes,

and in the year after it the rumor,

and violence is in the land,

with ruler against ruler—

45 “Come out of there, my people!

Run for your lives!

Run away from my burning anger.

46 You will hear about terrible things

that are happening in Babylonia.

But do not lose hope. Do not be afraid.

You will hear one thing this year.

And you will hear something else next year.

You will hear about awful things in the land.

You will hear about one ruler fighting against another.

45 “Come forth from her midst, My people,

And each of you save yourselves

From the fierce anger of the Lord.

46 “Now so that your heart does not grow faint,

And you are not afraid at the report that will be heard in the land—

For the report will come one year,

And after that another report in another year,

And violence will be in the land

With ruler against ruler—
