Jeremiah 23:29–30

29 “Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?

30 “Therefore,” declares the Lord, “I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me.

29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? 30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

29 Does not my word burn like fire?”

says the Lord.

“Is it not like a mighty hammer

that smashes a rock to pieces?

30 “Therefore,” says the Lord, “I am against these prophets who steal messages from each other and claim they are from me.

29 “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord,

“And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

30 “Therefore behold, I am against the prophets,” says the Lord, “who steal My words every one from his neighbor.

29 Isn’t my message like a fire?” says the Lord. “Isn’t it like a hammer that smashes a rock?

30 “So I am against the false prophets,” says the Lord. “They keep stealing words from each other and say they are from me.

29 Is not my word like fire? saith Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? 30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, that steal my words every one from his neighbor.

29 “Isn’t my word like fire or like a hammer that shatters a rock?” asks the Lord. 30 “I’m against the prophets who steal my words from each other,” declares the Lord.

29 “Is not My word like fire”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“and like a hammer that pulverizes rock? 30 Therefore, take note! I am against the prophets” —the Lord’s declaration—“who steal My words from each other.

29 Is not my word like fire, says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces? 30 See, therefore, I am against the prophets, says the Lord, who steal my words from one another.

29 “Is not my word like fire?” declares Yahweh, “and like a blacksmith’s hammer that breaks a rock into pieces?

30 “Therefore look, I am against the prophets,” declares Yahweh, “who steal my words each one from his neighbor.

29 “My message is like fire,” announces the Lord. “It is like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces.

30 “So I am against those prophets,” announces the Lord. “I am against those who steal messages from one another. They claim that the messages come from me.

29 “Is not My word like fire?” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer which shatters a rock?

30 “Therefore behold, I am against the prophets,” declares the Lord, “who steal My words from each other.
