33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel

after that time,” declares the Lord.

“I will put my law in their minds

and write it on their hearts.

I will be their God,

and they will be my people.

34 No longer will they teach their neighbor,

or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’

because they will all know me,

from the least of them to the greatest,”

declares the Lord.

“For I will forgive their wickedness

and will remember their sins no more.”

35 This is what the Lord says,

he who appoints the sun

to shine by day,

who decrees the moon and stars

to shine by night,

who stirs up the sea

so that its waves roar—

the Lord Almighty is his name:

36 “Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,”

declares the Lord,

“will Israel ever cease

being a nation before me.”

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel;

After those days, saith the Lord,

I will put my law in their inward parts,

And write it in their hearts;

And will be their God,

And they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying,

Know the Lord:

For they shall all know me,

From the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord:

For I will forgive their iniquity,

And I will remember their sin no more.

35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day,

And the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night,

Which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar;

The Lord of hosts is his name:

36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord,

Then the seed of Israel also shall cease

From being a nation before me for ever.

33 “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel after those days,” says the Lord. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 34 And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the Lord.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already,” says the Lord. “And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”

35 It is the Lord who provides the sun to light the day

and the moon and stars to light the night,

and who stirs the sea into roaring waves.

His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,

and this is what he says:

36 “I am as likely to reject my people Israel

as I am to abolish the laws of nature!”

33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

35 Thus says the Lord,

Who gives the sun for a light by day,

The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night,

Who disturbs the sea,

And its waves roar

(The Lord of hosts is His name):

36 “If those ordinances depart

From before Me, says the Lord,

Then the seed of Israel shall also cease

From being a nation before Me forever.”

33 “This is the agreement I will make

with the people of Israel at that time,” says the Lord:

“I will put my teachings in their minds

and write them on their hearts.

I will be their God,

and they will be my people.

34 People will no longer have to teach their neighbors and relatives

to know the Lord,

because all people will know me,

from the least to the most important,” says the Lord.

“I will forgive them for the wicked things they did,

and I will not remember their sins anymore.”

35 The Lord makes the sun shine in the day

and the moon and stars to shine at night.

He stirs up the sea so that its waves crash on the shore.

The Lord All-Powerful is his name.

This is what the Lord says:

36 “Only if these laws should ever fail,”

says the Lord,

“will Israel’s descendants ever stop

being a nation before me.”

33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

33 “But this is the promise that I will make to Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “I will put my teachings inside them, and I will write those teachings on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 34 No longer will each person teach his neighbors or his relatives by saying, ‘Know the Lord.’ All of them, from the least important to the most important, will know me,” declares the Lord, “because I will forgive their wickedness and I will no longer hold their sins against them.” 

35 The Lord provides the sun to be a light during the day. 

He orders the moon and stars to be lights during the night. 

He stirs up the sea so that its waves roar. 

His name is the Lord of Armies. 

This is what the Lord says: 

36 Only if these laws stop working, declares the Lord, 

will Israel’s descendants stop being a nation in my presence. 

33 “Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days”—the Lord’s declaration. “I will put My teaching within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people. 34 No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them” —this is the Lord’s declaration. “For I will forgive their wrongdoing and never again remember their sin.”

35 This is what the Lord says:

The One who gives the sun for light by day,

the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night,

who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar —

Yahweh of Hosts is His name:

36 If this fixed order departs from My presence—

this is the Lord’s declaration—

then also Israel’s descendants will cease

to be a nation before Me forever.

33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 No longer shall they teach one another, or say to each other, “Know the Lord,” for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and remember their sin no more.

35 Thus says the Lord,

who gives the sun for light by day

and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,

who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—

the Lord of hosts is his name:

36 If this fixed order were ever to cease

from my presence, says the Lord,

then also the offspring of Israel would cease

to be a nation before me forever.

33 “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares Yahweh: “I will put my law in their inward parts and on their hearts I will write it, and I will be to them God, and they themselves will be to me people. 34 And they will no longer teach each one his neighbor, or each one his brother, saying, ‘Know Yahweh,’ for all of them will know me, from their smallest and up to their greatest,” declares Yahweh, “for I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will no longer remember.”

35 Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for light by day, the regulations of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar—Yahweh of hosts is his name. 36 “If these rules would cease from before me,” declares Yahweh, “also the offspring of Israel would cease from being a nation before me forever.”

33 “This is the covenant I will make with Israel

after that time,” announces the Lord.

“I will put my law in their minds.

I will write it on their hearts.

I will be their God.

And they will be my people.

34 A man will not need to teach his neighbor anymore.

And he will not need to teach his friend anymore.

He will not say, ‘Know the Lord.’

Everyone will know me.

From the least important of them to the most important,

all of them will know me,”

announces the Lord.

“I will forgive their evil ways.

I will not remember their sins anymore.”

35 The Lord speaks.

He makes the sun

shine by day.

He orders the moon and stars

to shine at night.

He stirs up the ocean.

He makes its waves roar.

His name is The Lord Who Rules Over All.

36 “Suppose my orders for creation disappear from my sight,”

announces the Lord.

“Only then will the people of Israel stop being

a nation in my sight.”

33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

34 “They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

35 Thus says the Lord,

Who gives the sun for light by day

And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,

Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar;

The Lord of hosts is His name:

36 “If this fixed order departs

From before Me,” declares the Lord,

“Then the offspring of Israel also will cease
