Isaiah 5:25 — The New International Version (NIV)
25 Therefore the Lord’s anger burns against his people;
his hand is raised and he strikes them down.
The mountains shake,
and the dead bodies are like refuse in the streets.
Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,
his hand is still upraised.
Isaiah 5:25 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
25 Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people,
And he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them:
And the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets.
For all this his anger is not turned away,
But his hand is stretched out still.
Isaiah 5:25 — New Living Translation (NLT)
25 That is why the Lord’s anger burns against his people,
and why he has raised his fist to crush them.
The mountains tremble,
and the corpses of his people litter the streets like garbage.
But even then the Lord’s anger is not satisfied.
His fist is still poised to strike!
Isaiah 5:25 — The New King James Version (NKJV)
25 Therefore the anger of the Lord is aroused against His people;
He has stretched out His hand against them
And stricken them,
And the hills trembled.
Their carcasses were as refuse in the midst of the streets.
For all this His anger is not turned away,
But His hand is stretched out still.
Isaiah 5:25 — New Century Version (NCV)
25 So the Lord has become very angry with his people,
and he has raised his hand to punish them.
Even the mountains are frightened.
Dead bodies lie in the streets like garbage.
But the Lord is still angry;
his hand is still raised to strike down the people.
Isaiah 5:25 — American Standard Version (ASV)
25 Therefore is the anger of Jehovah kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them; and the mountains tremble, and their dead bodies are as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Isaiah 5:25 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)
25 Therefore is the anger of Jehovah kindled against his people, and he hath stretched out his hand against them and hath smitten them; and the mountains trembled, and their carcases are become as dung in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.
Isaiah 5:25 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
25 That’s why the anger of the Lord burns hot against his people,
and he is ready to use his power to strike them down.
The hills tremble,
and dead bodies lie like garbage in the streets.
Even after all this, his anger has not disappeared,
and he is still ready to use his power.
Isaiah 5:25 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
25 Therefore the Lord’s anger burns against His people.
He raised His hand against them and struck them;
the mountains quaked,
and their corpses were like garbage in the streets.
In all this, His anger is not removed,
and His hand is still raised to strike.
Isaiah 5:25 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
25 Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against his people,
and he stretched out his hand against them and struck them;
the mountains quaked,
and their corpses were like refuse
in the streets.
For all this his anger has not turned away,
and his hand is stretched out still.
Isaiah 5:25 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)
25 Therefore Yahweh’s wrath was kindled against his people,
and he stretched out his hand against them and struck them,
and the mountains quaked,
and their corpses were like refuse in the middle of the streets.
In all of this his anger has not turned back,
and still his hand is stretched out.
Isaiah 5:25 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)
25 So the Lord’s anger burns against his people.
He raises his hand against them. He strikes them down.
The mountains shake.
The bodies of dead people lie in the streets like trash.
Even then, the Lord is still angry.
His hand is still raised against them.
Isaiah 5:25 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)
25 On this account the anger of the Lord has burned against His people,
And He has stretched out His hand against them and struck them down.
And the mountains quaked, and their corpses lay like refuse in the middle of the streets.
For all this His anger is not spent,
But His hand is still stretched out.
