Isaiah 30:12–13 — The New International Version (NIV)

12 Therefore this is what the Holy One of Israel says:

“Because you have rejected this message,

relied on oppression

and depended on deceit,

13 this sin will become for you

like a high wall, cracked and bulging,

that collapses suddenly, in an instant.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel,

Because ye despise this word,

And trust in oppression and perverseness,

And stay thereon:

13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall,

Swelling out in a high wall,

Whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — New Living Translation (NLT)

12 This is the reply of the Holy One of Israel:

“Because you despise what I tell you

and trust instead in oppression and lies,

13 calamity will come upon you suddenly—

like a bulging wall that bursts and falls.

In an instant it will collapse

and come crashing down.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:

“Because you despise this word,

And trust in oppression and perversity,

And rely on them,

13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you

Like a breach ready to fall,

A bulge in a high wall,

Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — New Century Version (NCV)

12 So this is what the Holy One of Israel says:

“You people have refused to accept this message

and have depended on cruelty and lies to help you.

13 You are guilty of these things.

So you will be like a high wall with cracks in it

that falls suddenly and breaks into small pieces.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — American Standard Version (ASV)

12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely thereon; 13 therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly in an instant.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

12 Therefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel: Because ye reject this word, and confide in oppression and wilfulness, and depend thereon, 13 therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a towering wall, whose breaking shall come suddenly in an instant.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

12 This is what the Holy One of Israel says:

You have rejected this warning,

trusted oppression and deceit,

and leaned on them.

13 That is why your sin will be

like a high wall with a bulging crack, ready to fall.

All of a sudden it will fall.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

12 Therefore the Holy One of Israel says:

“Because you have rejected this message

and have trusted in oppression and deceit,

and have depended on them,

13 this iniquity of yours will be

like a spreading breach,

a bulge in a high wall

whose collapse will come in an instant—suddenly!

Isaiah 30:12–13 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:

Because you reject this word,

and put your trust in oppression and deceit,

and rely on them;

13 therefore this iniquity shall become for you

like a break in a high wall, bulging out, and about to collapse,

whose crash comes suddenly, in an instant;

Isaiah 30:12–13 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

12 Therefore the holy one of Israel says this:

“Because you are rejecting this word

and you trust in oppression and cunning

and you rely on it,

13 therefore this iniquity shall come for you like a breach about to fall,

bulging out on a high wall that breaks suddenly, in an instant.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

12 So the Holy One of Israel speaks. He says,

“You have turned your backs on what I have said.

You have depended on telling people lies.

You have crushed others.

13 Those sins are like cracks in a high wall.

They get bigger and bigger.

Suddenly the wall breaks apart.

Then it quickly falls down.

Isaiah 30:12–13 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel,

Since you have rejected this word

And have put your trust in oppression and guile, and have relied on them,

13 Therefore this iniquity will be to you

Like a breach about to fall,

A bulge in a high wall,

Whose collapse comes suddenly in an instant,
