Isaiah 48:6–7 — The New International Version (NIV)

You have heard these things; look at them all.

Will you not admit them?

“From now on I will tell you of new things,

of hidden things unknown to you.

They are created now, and not long ago;

you have not heard of them before today.

So you cannot say,

‘Yes, I knew of them.’

Isaiah 48:6–7 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

Thou hast heard, see all this;

And will not ye declare it?

I have shewed thee new things from this time,

Even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.

They are created now, and not from the beginning;

Even before the day when thou heardest them not;

Lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

Isaiah 48:6–7 — New Living Translation (NLT)

You have heard my predictions and seen them fulfilled,

but you refuse to admit it.

Now I will tell you new things,

secrets you have not yet heard.

They are brand new, not things from the past.

So you cannot say, ‘We knew that all the time!’

Isaiah 48:6–7 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

“You have heard;

See all this.

And will you not declare it?

I have made you hear new things from this time,

Even hidden things, and you did not know them.

They are created now and not from the beginning;

And before this day you have not heard them,

Lest you should say, ‘Of course I knew them.’

Isaiah 48:6–7 — New Century Version (NCV)

“You heard and saw everything that happened,

so you should tell this news to others.

Now I will tell you about new things,

hidden things that you don’t know yet.

These things are happening now, not long ago;

you have not heard about them before today.

So you cannot say, ‘We already knew about that.’

Isaiah 48:6–7 — American Standard Version (ASV)

Thou hast heard it; behold all this; and ye, will ye not declare it? I have showed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, which thou hast not known. They are created now, and not from of old; and before this day thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

Isaiah 48:6–7 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

Thou heardest, see all this; —and ye, will not ye declare it? I have caused thee to hear new things from this time, and things hidden, and that thou knewest not: they are created now, and not long ago; and before this day thou hast not heard them, lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

Isaiah 48:6–7 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

You’ve heard these words.

Now look at all this.

Won’t you admit it?

From now on I will reveal to you new things,

hidden things that you do not know.

They are created now, not in the past.

You haven’t heard about them before today,

so you can’t say that you already knew about them.

Isaiah 48:6–7 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

You have heard it. Observe it all.

Will you not acknowledge it?

From now on I will announce new things to you,

hidden things that you have not known.

They have been created now, and not long ago;

you have not heard of them before today,

so you could not claim, ‘I already knew them!’

Isaiah 48:6–7 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

You have heard; now see all this;

and will you not declare it?

From this time forward I make you hear new things,

hidden things that you have not known.

They are created now, not long ago;

before today you have never heard of them,

so that you could not say, “I already knew them.”

Isaiah 48:6–7 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

You have heard; see it all.

And will you not declare it?

I announce new things to you from this time

and hidden things that you have not known.

Now they are created, and not from of old,

and before today, and you have not heard them

so that you could not say, “Look! I knew them.”

Isaiah 48:6–7 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

You have heard me tell you those things.

Think about all of them.

Won’t you admit they have taken place?

“From now on I will tell you about new things that will happen.

I have not made them known to you before.

Those things are taking place right now.

They did not happen long ago.

You have not heard of them before today.

So you can’t say,

‘Oh, yes. I already knew about them.’

Isaiah 48:6–7 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

And you, will you not declare it?

“They are created now and not long ago;

And before today you have not heard them,

So that you will not say, ‘Behold, I knew them.’
