6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem;

they will never be silent day or night.

You who call on the Lord,

give yourselves no rest,

7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem

and makes her the praise of the earth.

8 The Lord has sworn by his right hand

and by his mighty arm:

“Never again will I give your grain

as food for your enemies,

and never again will foreigners drink the new wine

for which you have toiled;

6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem,

Which shall never hold their peace day nor night:

Ye that make mention of the Lord,

Keep not silence, 7 And give him no rest,

Till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

8 The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength,

Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies;

And the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

6 O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls;

they will pray day and night, continually.

Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord.

7 Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work,

until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth.

8 The Lord has sworn to Jerusalem by his own strength:

“I will never again hand you over to your enemies.

Never again will foreign warriors come

and take away your grain and new wine.

6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;

They shall never hold their peace day or night.

You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,

7 And give Him no rest till He establishes

And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

8 The Lord has sworn by His right hand

And by the arm of His strength:

“Surely I will no longer give your grain

As food for your enemies;

And the sons of the foreigner shall not drink your new wine,

For which you have labored.

6 Jerusalem, I have put guards on the walls to watch.

They must not be silent day or night.

You people who remind the Lord of your needs in prayer

should never be quiet.

7 You should not stop praying to him until he builds up Jerusalem

and makes it a city all people will praise.

8 The Lord has made a promise,

and by his power he will keep his promise.

He said, “I will never again give your grain

as food to your enemies.

I will not let your enemies drink the new wine

that you have worked to make.

6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah’s remembrancers, take ye no rest, 7 and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. 8 Jehovah hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy grain to be food for thine enemies; and foreigners shall not drink thy new wine, for which thou hast labored:

6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, Jerusalem; all the day and all the night they shall never hold their peace: ye that put Jehovah in remembrance, keep not silence, 7 and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. 8 Jehovah hath sworn by his right hand and by the arm of his strength, I will indeed no more give thy corn to be food for thine enemies; and the sons of the alien shall not drink thy new wine, for which thou hast laboured;

6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem. 

They will never be silent day or night. 

Whoever calls on the Lord, do not give yourselves any rest, 

7 and do not give him any rest until he establishes Jerusalem 

and makes it an object of praise throughout the earth. 

8 The Lord has sworn with his right hand and with his mighty arm, 

“I will never again let your enemies eat your grain, 

nor will foreigners drink the new wine which you made.” 

6 Jerusalem,

I have appointed watchmen on your walls;

they will never be silent, day or night.

There is no rest for you,

who remind the Lord.

7 Do not give Him rest

until He establishes and makes Jerusalem

the praise of the earth.

8 The Lord has sworn with His right hand

and His strong arm:

I will no longer give your grain

to your enemies for food,

and foreigners will not drink your new wine

you have labored for.

6 Upon your walls, O Jerusalem,

I have posted sentinels;

all day and all night

they shall never be silent.

You who remind the Lord,

take no rest,

7 and give him no rest

until he establishes Jerusalem

and makes it renowned throughout the earth.

8 The Lord has sworn by his right hand

and by his mighty arm:

I will not again give your grain

to be food for your enemies,

and foreigners shall not drink the wine

for which you have labored;

6 I have appointed watchmen upon your walls, Jerusalem;

all day and all night they shall never be silent.

You who profess Yahweh have no rest.

7 And you must not give him rest until he establishes,

and until he makes Jerusalem an object of praise in the earth.

8 Yahweh has sworn by his right hand,

and by his mighty arm,

“Surely I will never again give your grain as food to your enemies,

and surely foreigners shall not drink your new wine at which you have labored.”

6 Jerusalem, I have stationed guards on your walls.

They must never be silent day or night.

You who call out to the Lord

must not give yourselves any rest.

7 And don’t give him any rest

until he makes Jerusalem secure.

Don’t give him any peace

until people all over the earth praise that city.

8 The Lord has taken an oath and made a promise.

He has lifted up his right hand and mighty arm.

He has promised, “I will never give your grain

to your enemies for food again.

Outsiders will never again drink the fresh wine

you have worked so hard for.

6 On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen;

All day and all night they will never keep silent.

You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves;

7 And give Him no rest until He establishes

And makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

8 The Lord has sworn by His right hand and by His strong arm,

“I will never again give your grain as food for your enemies;

Nor will foreigners drink your new wine for which you have labored.”
