Galatians 3:11–12 — The New International Version (NIV)
11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” 12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”
Galatians 3:11–12 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Galatians 3:11–12 — New Living Translation (NLT)
11 So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” 12 This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, “It is through obeying the law that a person has life.”
Galatians 3:11–12 — The New King James Version (NKJV)
11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”
Galatians 3:11–12 — New Century Version (NCV)
11 Now it is clear that no one can be made right with God by the law, because the Scriptures say, “Those who are right with God will live by faith.” 12 The law is not based on faith. It says, “A person who obeys these things will live because of them.”
Galatians 3:11–12 — American Standard Version (ASV)
11 Now that no man is justified by the law before God, is evident: for, The righteous shall live by faith; 12 and the law is not of faith; but, He that doeth them shall live in them.
Galatians 3:11–12 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)
11 but that by law no one is justified with God is evident, because The just shall live on the principle of faith; 12 but the law is not on the principle of faith; but, He that shall have done these things shall live by them.
Galatians 3:11–12 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
11 No one receives God’s approval by obeying the laws in Moses’ Teachings since, “The person who has God’s approval will live by faith.” 12 These laws have nothing to do with faith, but, “Whoever obeys laws will live because he obeys them.”
Galatians 3:11–12 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
11 Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith. 12 But the law is not based on faith; instead, the one who does these things will live by them.
Galatians 3:11–12 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
11 Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law; for “The one who is righteous will live by faith.” 12 But the law does not rest on faith; on the contrary, “Whoever does the works of the law will live by them.”
Galatians 3:11–12 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)
11 Now it is clear that no one is justified in the sight of God by the law, because “the one who is righteous will live by faith.” 12 But the law is not from faith, but “the one who does these things will live by them.”
Galatians 3:11–12 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)
11 We know that no one is made right with God by keeping the law. Scripture says, “Those who are right with God will live by faith.”
12 The law is not based on faith. In fact, it is just the opposite. It teaches that “the one who does those things will live by them.”
Galatians 3:11–12 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)
11 Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “The righteous man shall live by faith.”
12 However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “He who practices them shall live by them.”
