5 Cush and Libya, Lydia and all Arabia, Kub and the people of the covenant land will fall by the sword along with Egypt.

6 “ ‘This is what the Lord says:

“ ‘The allies of Egypt will fall

and her proud strength will fail.

From Migdol to Aswan

they will fall by the sword within her,

declares the Sovereign Lord.

7 “ ‘They will be desolate

among desolate lands,

and their cities will lie

among ruined cities.

5 Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword. 6 Thus saith the Lord; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord God. 7 And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

5 Ethiopia, Libya, Lydia, all Arabia,

and all their other allies

will be destroyed in that war.

6 “For this is what the Lord says:

All of Egypt’s allies will fall,

and the pride of her power will end.

From Migdol to Aswan

they will be slaughtered by the sword,

says the Sovereign Lord.

7 Egypt will be desolate,

surrounded by desolate nations,

and its cities will be in ruins,

surrounded by other ruined cities.

5 “Ethiopia, Libya, Lydia, all the mingled people, Chub, and the men of the lands who are allied, shall fall with them by the sword.”

6 ‘Thus says the Lord:

“Those who uphold Egypt shall fall,

And the pride of her power shall come down.

From Migdol to Syene

Those within her shall fall by the sword,”

Says the Lord God.

7 “They shall be desolate in the midst of the desolate countries,

And her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are laid waste.

5 Cush, Put, Lydia, Arabia, Libya, and some of my people who had made an agreement with Egypt will fall dead in war.

6 “ ‘This is what the Lord says:

Those who fight on Egypt’s side will fall.

The power she is proud of will be lost.

The people in Egypt will fall dead in war

from Migdol in the north to Aswan in the south,

says the Lord God.

7 They will be the most deserted lands.

Egypt’s cities will be the worst of cities that lie in ruins.

5 Ethiopia, and Put, and Lud, and all the mingled people, and Cub, and the children of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

6 Thus saith Jehovah: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Seveneh shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah. 7 And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

5 Cush, and Phut, and Lud, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the children of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword. 6 Thus saith Jehovah: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her strength shall come down: from Migdol to Syene shall they fall in her by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah. 7 And they shall be desolated in the midst of the countries that are desolated, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

5 Sudan, Put, Lud, all the Arabs, the Libyans, 

and people from the promised land will die in battle. 

6 “ ‘This is what the Lord says: 

All Egypt’s allies will die. 

Egypt’s strength will disappear. 

People will die in war from Migdol to Syene, 

declares the Almighty Lord. 

7 “ ‘Egypt will become the most desolate country in the world, and Egypt’s cities will lie in ruins. They will be ruined more than other cities.

5 Cush, Put, and Lud,

and all the various foreign troops,

plus Libya and the men of the covenant land

will fall by the sword along with them.

6 This is what the Lord says:

Those who support Egypt will fall,

and its proud strength will collapse.

From Migdol to Syene

they will fall within it by the sword.

This is the declaration of the Lord God.

7 They will be desolate

among desolate lands,

and their cities will lie

among ruined cities.

5 Cush and Put and Lud and all the mixed populations and Libya and the people of the allied land shall fall with them by the sword.

6 Thus says the Lord:

Those who support Egypt shall fall,

and its proud might shall come down;

from Migdol to Syene

they shall fall within it by the sword,

says the Lord God.

7 They shall be desolated among other desolated countries,

and their cities shall lie among cities laid waste.

5 Cush and Put and Lud and all of Arabia and Kub and the people of the land of the treaty with them—by the sword they will fall.”

6 Thus says Yahweh:

“And the supporters of Egypt will fall,

and the majesty of its strength will go down

from Migdol to Syene;

by the sword they will fall in it,”

declares the Lord Yahweh.

7 “And they will be desolate in the midst of desolate countries,

and its cities will be in the midst of ruined cities.

5 The people of Cush, Put, Lydia, Libya and the whole land of Arabia will be killed with swords. So will the Jews who live in Egypt. They went there from the covenant land of Israel. And the Egyptians will die too.” ’ ”

6 The Lord says,

“Those who were going to help Egypt will die.

The strength Egypt was so proud of will fail.

Its people will be killed with swords

from Migdol all the way to Aswan,”

announces the Lord and King.

7 “Egypt will be more empty than any other land.

Its cities will be completely destroyed.

5 “Ethiopia, Put, Lud, all Arabia, Libya and the people of the land that is in league will fall with them by the sword.”

6 ‘Thus says the Lord,

“Indeed, those who support Egypt will fall

And the pride of her power will come down;

From Migdol to Syene

They will fall within her by the sword,”

Declares the Lord God.

7 “They will be desolate

In the midst of the desolated lands;

And her cities will be

In the midst of the devastated cities.
