Ezekiel 30:6–8

6 “ ‘This is what the Lord says:

“ ‘The allies of Egypt will fall

and her proud strength will fail.

From Migdol to Aswan

they will fall by the sword within her,

declares the Sovereign Lord.

7 “ ‘They will be desolate

among desolate lands,

and their cities will lie

among ruined cities.

8 Then they will know that I am the Lord,

when I set fire to Egypt

and all her helpers are crushed.

6 Thus saith the Lord; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord God. 7 And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted. 8 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.

6 “For this is what the Lord says:

All of Egypt’s allies will fall,

and the pride of her power will end.

From Migdol to Aswan

they will be slaughtered by the sword,

says the Sovereign Lord.

7 Egypt will be desolate,

surrounded by desolate nations,

and its cities will be in ruins,

surrounded by other ruined cities.

8 And the people of Egypt will know that I am the Lord

when I have set Egypt on fire

and destroyed all their allies.

6 ‘Thus says the Lord:

“Those who uphold Egypt shall fall,

And the pride of her power shall come down.

From Migdol to Syene

Those within her shall fall by the sword,”

Says the Lord God.

7 “They shall be desolate in the midst of the desolate countries,

And her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are laid waste.

8 Then they will know that I am the Lord,

When I have set a fire in Egypt

And all her helpers are destroyed.

6 “ ‘This is what the Lord says:

Those who fight on Egypt’s side will fall.

The power she is proud of will be lost.

The people in Egypt will fall dead in war

from Migdol in the north to Aswan in the south,

says the Lord God.

7 They will be the most deserted lands.

Egypt’s cities will be the worst of cities that lie in ruins.

8 Then they will know that I am the Lord

when I set fire to Egypt

and when all those nations on her side are crushed.

6 Thus saith Jehovah: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Seveneh shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah. 7 And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted. 8 And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers are destroyed.

6 Thus saith Jehovah: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her strength shall come down: from Migdol to Syene shall they fall in her by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah. 7 And they shall be desolated in the midst of the countries that are desolated, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted. 8 And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers shall be broken.

6 “ ‘This is what the Lord says: 

All Egypt’s allies will die. 

Egypt’s strength will disappear. 

People will die in war from Migdol to Syene, 

declares the Almighty Lord. 

7 “ ‘Egypt will become the most desolate country in the world, and Egypt’s cities will lie in ruins. They will be ruined more than other cities. 8 Then they will know that I am the Lord, because I will set fire to Egypt and all her defenders will be killed.

6 This is what the Lord says:

Those who support Egypt will fall,

and its proud strength will collapse.

From Migdol to Syene

they will fall within it by the sword.

This is the declaration of the Lord God.

7 They will be desolate

among desolate lands,

and their cities will lie

among ruined cities.

8 They will know that I am Yahweh

when I set fire to Egypt

and all its allies are shattered.

6 Thus says the Lord:

Those who support Egypt shall fall,

and its proud might shall come down;

from Migdol to Syene

they shall fall within it by the sword,

says the Lord God.

7 They shall be desolated among other desolated countries,

and their cities shall lie among cities laid waste.

8 Then they shall know that I am the Lord,

when I have set fire to Egypt,

and all who help it are broken.

6 Thus says Yahweh:

“And the supporters of Egypt will fall,

and the majesty of its strength will go down

from Migdol to Syene;

by the sword they will fall in it,”

declares the Lord Yahweh.

7 “And they will be desolate in the midst of desolate countries,

and its cities will be in the midst of ruined cities.

8 And they will know that I am Yahweh

when I put my fire in Egypt,

and all of its helpers are broken.

6 The Lord says,

“Those who were going to help Egypt will die.

The strength Egypt was so proud of will fail.

Its people will be killed with swords

from Migdol all the way to Aswan,”

announces the Lord and King.

7 “Egypt will be more empty than any other land.

Its cities will be completely destroyed.

8 I will set Egypt on fire.

All those who came to help it will be crushed.

Then they will know that I am the Lord.

6 ‘Thus says the Lord,

“Indeed, those who support Egypt will fall

And the pride of her power will come down;

From Migdol to Syene

They will fall within her by the sword,”

Declares the Lord God.

7 “They will be desolate

In the midst of the desolated lands;

And her cities will be

In the midst of the devastated cities.

8 “And they will know that I am the Lord,

When I set a fire in Egypt

And all her helpers are broken.
