18 You deserted the Rock, who fathered you;

you forgot the God who gave you birth.

18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful,

And hast forgotten God that formed thee.

18 You neglected the Rock who had fathered you;

you forgot the God who had given you birth.

18 Of the Rock who begot you, you are unmindful,

And have forgotten the God who fathered you.

18 You left God who is the Rock, your Father,

and you forgot the God who gave you birth.

18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful,

And hast forgotten God that gave thee birth.

18 Of the Rock that begot thee wast thou unmindful, And thou hast forgotten •God who brought thee forth.

18 (You ignored the rock who fathered you 

and forgot the God who gave you life.) 

18 You ignored the Rock who gave you birth;

you forgot the God who gave birth to you.

18 You were unmindful of the Rock that bore you;

you forgot the God who gave you birth.

18 The rock who bore you, you neglected,

and you forgot God, the one giving you birth.

18 But then they deserted the Rock. He was their Father.

They forgot the God who created them.
