Amos 9:11–13

11 “In that day

“I will restore David’s fallen shelter—

I will repair its broken walls

and restore its ruins—

and will rebuild it as it used to be,

12 so that they may possess the remnant of Edom

and all the nations that bear my name,”

declares the Lord, who will do these things.

13 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord,

“when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman

and the planter by the one treading grapes.

New wine will drip from the mountains

and flow from all the hills,

11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen,

And close up the breaches thereof;

And I will raise up his ruins,

And I will build it as in the days of old:

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen,

Which are called by my name,

Saith the Lord that doeth this.

13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord,

That the plowman shall overtake the reaper,

And the treader of grapes him that soweth seed;

And the mountains shall drop sweet wine,

And all the hills shall melt.

11 “In that day I will restore the fallen house of David.

I will repair its damaged walls.

From the ruins I will rebuild it

and restore its former glory.

12 And Israel will possess what is left of Edom

and all the nations I have called to be mine.”

The Lord has spoken,

and he will do these things.

13 “The time will come,” says the Lord,

“when the grain and grapes will grow faster

than they can be harvested.

Then the terraced vineyards on the hills of Israel

will drip with sweet wine!

11 “On that day I will raise up

The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,

And repair its damages;

I will raise up its ruins,

And rebuild it as in the days of old;

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom,

And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”

Says the Lord who does this thing.

13 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,

“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,

And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;

The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,

And all the hills shall flow with it.

11 “The kingdom of David is like a fallen tent,

but in that day I will set it up again

and mend its broken places.

I will rebuild its ruins

as it was before.

12 Then Israel will take over what is left of Edom

and the other nations that belong to me,”

says the Lord,

who will make it happen.

13 The Lord says, “The time is coming when there will be all kinds of food.

People will still be harvesting crops

when it’s time to plow again.

People will still be taking the juice from grapes

when it’s time to plant again.

Wine will drip from the mountains

and pour from the hills.

11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old; 12 that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations that are called by my name, saith Jehovah that doeth this. 13 Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David which is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: 12 that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations upon whom my name is called, saith Jehovah who doeth this. 13 Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, when the ploughman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop new wine, and all the hills shall melt.

11 On that day I will set up David’s fallen tent. 

I will repair the holes in it. 

I will restore its ruined places. 

I will rebuild them as they were a long time ago. 

12 They will capture the few survivors of Edom 

and all the other nations that were under my authority, 

declares the Lord, who will do these things. 

13 The days are going to come, declares the Lord, 

when the one who plows will catch up to the one who harvests, 

and the one who stomps on grapes will catch up to the one who plants. 

New wine will drip from the mountains 

and flow from all the hills. 

11 In that day

I will restore the fallen booth of David:

I will repair its gaps,

restore its ruins,

and rebuild it as in the days of old,

12 so that they may possess

the remnant of Edom

and all the nations

that are called by My name —

this is the Lord’s declaration—

He will do this.

13 Hear this! The days are coming—

this is the Lord’s declaration—

when the plowman will overtake the reaper

and the one who treads grapes,

the sower of seed.

The mountains will drip with sweet wine,

and all the hills will flow with it.

11 On that day I will raise up

the booth of David that is fallen

and repair its breaches

and raise up its ruins

and rebuild it as in the days of old,

12 in order that they may possess the remnant of Edom

and all the nations who are called by my name,

says the Lord who does this.

13 The time is surely coming, says the Lord,

when the one who plows shall catch up with the one who reaps

and the treader of grapes with the one who sows the seed;

the mountains shall drip sweet wine,

and all the hills shall flow with it.

11 On that day I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen, and I will repair its breaches and will raise up its ruins and will build it like the days of old. 12 Thus they may take possession of the remnant of Edom and all the nations who are called by my name,” declares Yahweh, who does this. 13 “Look, days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when the one who plows will overtake the one who reaps, the one who treads grapes will catch up with the one who sows the seed. And the mountains will drip sweet wine and all of the hills will flow with it.

11 “The time will come when I will rebuild

David’s fallen tent.

I will repair its broken places.

I will rebuild what was destroyed.

I will make it what it used to be.

12 Then my people will take control of those

who are left alive in Edom.

They will also possess all of the nations

that belong to me,”

announces the Lord.

He will do all of those things.

13 “A new day is coming,” announces the Lord.

“At that time those who plow the land

will catch up with those who harvest the crops.

Those who stomp on grapes

will catch up with those who plant the vines.

Fresh wine will drip from the mountains.

It will flow down from all of the hills.

11 “In that day I will raise up the fallen booth of David,

And wall up its breaches;

I will also raise up its ruins

And rebuild it as in the days of old;

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom

And all the nations who are called by My name,”

Declares the Lord who does this.

13 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord,

“When the plowman will overtake the reaper

And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;

When the mountains will drip sweet wine

And all the hills will be dissolved.
