5 The Lord, the Lord Almighty—

he touches the earth and it melts,

and all who live in it mourn;

the whole land rises like the Nile,

then sinks like the river of Egypt;

6 he builds his lofty palace in the heavens

and sets its foundation on the earth;

he calls for the waters of the sea

and pours them out over the face of the land—

the Lord is his name.

5 And the Lord God of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt,

And all that dwell therein shall mourn:

And it shall rise up wholly like a flood;

And shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven,

And hath founded his troop in the earth;

He that calleth for the waters of the sea,

And poureth them out upon the face of the earth:

The Lord is his name.

5 The Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,

touches the land and it melts,

and all its people mourn.

The ground rises like the Nile River at floodtime,

and then it sinks again.

6 The Lord’s home reaches up to the heavens,

while its foundation is on the earth.

He draws up water from the oceans

and pours it down as rain on the land.

The Lord is his name!

5 The Lord God of hosts,

He who touches the earth and it melts,

And all who dwell there mourn;

All of it shall swell like the River,

And subside like the River of Egypt.

6 He who builds His layers in the sky,

And has founded His strata in the earth;

Who calls for the waters of the sea,

And pours them out on the face of the earth—

The Lord is His name.

5 The Lord God All-Powerful touches the land,

and the land shakes.

Then everyone who lives in the land cries for the dead.

The whole land rises like the Nile River

and falls like the river of Egypt.

6 The Lord builds his upper rooms above the skies;

he sets their foundations on the earth.

He calls for the waters of the sea

and pours them out on the land.

The Lord is his name.

5 For the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, is he that toucheth the land and it melteth, and all that dwell therein shall mourn; and it shall rise up wholly like the River, and shall sink again, like the River of Egypt; 6 it is he that buildeth his chambers in the heavens, and hath founded his vault upon the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth; Jehovah is his name.

5 And the Lord Jehovah of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it melteth, and all that dwell therein shall mourn; and it shall wholly rise up like the Nile, and sink down as the river of Egypt. 6 It is he that buildeth his upper chambers in the heavens, and hath founded his vault upon the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: Jehovah is his name.

5 The Almighty Lord of Armies touches the earth. 

It quakes, and all who live on it mourn. 

All of it rises like the Nile 

and sinks like Egypt’s river. 

6 The one who builds stairs up to heaven 

and sets their foundation on the earth, 

the one who calls for the water in the sea 

and pours it over the face of the earth— 

His name is the Lord. 

5 The Lord, the God of Hosts—

He touches the earth;

it melts, and all who dwell in it mourn;

all of it rises like the Nile

and subsides like the Nile of Egypt.

6 He builds His upper chambers

in the heavens

and lays the foundation of His vault

on the earth.

He summons the waters of the sea

and pours them out on the face of the earth.

Yahweh is His name.

5 The Lord, God of hosts,

he who touches the earth and it melts,

and all who live in it mourn,

and all of it rises like the Nile,

and sinks again, like the Nile of Egypt;

6 who builds his upper chambers in the heavens,

and founds his vault upon the earth;

who calls for the waters of the sea,

and pours them out upon the surface of the earth—

the Lord is his name.

5 And thus will do the Lord Yahweh of hosts, who touches the earth and it melts, and all of those living in it mourn, and all of it rises like the Nile and it sinks down like the Nile of Egypt, 6 who builds his upper chambers in the heavens and lays the foundation of his vault on the earth, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them on the surface of the earth—Yahweh is his name.

5 The Lord rules over all.

The Lord touches the earth, and it melts.

Everyone who lives in it sobs.

The whole land rises like the Nile River.

Then it settles back down again

like that river in Egypt.

6 The Lord builds his palace high in the heavens.

He lays its foundation on the earth.

He sends for the waters in the clouds.

Then he pours them out on the surface of the land.

His name is The Lord.

And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth,

He who calls for the waters of the sea
