2 The Sovereign Lord has sworn by his holiness:

“The time will surely come

when you will be taken away with hooks,

the last of you with fishhooks.

3 You will each go straight out

through breaches in the wall,

and you will be cast out toward Harmon,”

declares the Lord.

2 The Lord God hath sworn by his holiness,

That, lo, the days shall come upon you,

That he will take you away with hooks,

And your posterity with fishhooks.

3 And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her;

And ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the Lord.

2 The Sovereign Lord has sworn this by his holiness:

“The time will come when you will be led away

with hooks in your noses.

Every last one of you will be dragged away

like a fish on a hook!

3 You will be led out through the ruins of the wall;

you will be thrown from your fortresses,”

says the Lord.

2 The Lord God has sworn by His holiness:

“Behold, the days shall come upon you

When He will take you away with fishhooks,

And your posterity with fishhooks.

3 You will go out through broken walls,

Each one straight ahead of her,

And you will be cast into Harmon,”

Says the Lord.

2 The Lord God has promised this:

“Just as surely as I am a holy God,

the time will come

when you will be taken away by hooks,

and what is left of you with fishhooks.

3 You will go straight out of the city

through holes in the walls,

and you will be thrown on the garbage dump,” says the Lord.

2 The Lord Jehovah hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that they shall take you away with hooks, and your residue with fish-hooks. 3 And ye shall go out at the breaches, every one straight before her; and ye shall cast yourselves into Harmon, saith Jehovah.

2 the Lord Jehovah hath sworn by his holiness, that behold, days shall come upon you, when he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fish-hooks; 3 and ye shall go out by the breaches, every one straight before her, and ye shall be cast out to Harmon, saith Jehovah.

2 The Almighty Lord has taken an oath on his holiness: 

Surely, the time is going to come 

when you will be taken away on hooks, 

and the rest of you on fishhooks. 

3 Each of you will leave ⸤the city⸥ 

through breaks in the wall, one woman ahead of another. 

You will be thrown into a garbage dump. 

The Lord declares this. 

2 The Lord God has sworn by His holiness:

Look, the days are coming

when you will be taken away with hooks,

every last one of you with fishhooks.

3 You will go through breaches in the wall,

each woman straight ahead,

and you will be driven along toward Harmon.

This is the Lord’s declaration.

3 Through breaches in the wall you shall leave,

each one straight ahead;

and you shall be flung out into Harmon,

says the Lord.

2 My Lord Yahweh has sworn by his holiness that, “Behold, the days are coming upon you when they will take you away with hooks, even the last of you with fishing hooks. 3 And you shall leave through breaches in the wall, each one in front of her. You will be dragged off toward Harmon,” declares Yahweh.

2 The Lord and King has taken an oath

in his own holy name.

He says, “You can be sure

that the time will come

when your enemies will put hooks in your faces.

They will lead every one of you away with fishhooks.

3 Each of you will go straight out

through a gap in the wall.

You will be thrown out of the city

on the hill where you crush others,”

announces the Lord.

2 The Lord God has sworn by His holiness,

“Behold, the days are coming upon you

When they will take you away with meat hooks,

And the last of you with fish hooks.

3 “You will go out through breaches in the walls,

Each one straight before her,

And you will be cast to Harmon,” declares the Lord.
