1 Chronicles 2:50–53

50 These were the descendants of Caleb.

The sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephrathah:

Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim, 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.

52 The descendants of Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim were:

Haroeh, half the Manahathites, 53 and the clans of Kiriath Jearim: the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites and Mishraites. From these descended the Zorathites and Eshtaolites.

50 These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim, 51 Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader. 52 And Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites. 53 And the families of Kirjath-jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.

50 These were all descendants of Caleb.

The sons of Hur, the oldest son of Caleb’s wife Ephrathah, were Shobal (the founder of Kiriath-jearim), 51 Salma (the founder of Bethlehem), and Hareph (the founder of Beth-gader).

52 The descendants of Shobal (the founder of Kiriath-jearim) were Haroeh, half the Manahathites, 53 and the families of Kiriath-jearim—the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites, and Mishraites, from whom came the people of Zorah and Eshtaol.

50 These were the descendants of Caleb: The sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, were Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim, 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.

52 And Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim had descendants: Haroeh, and half of the families of Manuhoth. 53 The families of Kirjath Jearim were the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites. From these came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.

50 These were Caleb’s descendants: Caleb’s son Hur was the first son of his mother Ephrathah. Hur’s sons were Shobal, Salma, and Hareph. Shobal was the father of Kiriath Jearim. Salma was the father of Bethlehem. And Hareph was the father of Beth Gader.

52 Shobal was the father of Kiriath Jearim. Shobal’s descendants were Haroeh, half the Manahathites, 53 and the family groups of Kiriath Jearim: the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites, and Mishraites. The Zorathites and the Eshtaolites came from the Mishraite people.

50 These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the first-born of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim, 51 Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader. 52 And Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth. 53 And the families of Kiriath-jearim: The Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.

50 These are the sons of Caleb. The sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah: Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim, 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader. 52 And Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, Hazi-Hammenuhoth. 53 And the families of Kirjath-jearim were the Jithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zoreathites and the Eshtaolites.

50 These people were the descendants of Caleb. 

The sons of Hur, the firstborn son of Ephrath, were Shobal, who first settled Kiriath Jearim, 51 Salma, who first settled Bethlehem, and Hareph, who first settled Beth Gadar. 52 Shobal, who first settled Kiriath Jearim, had these descendants: Haroeh, half of the Manahathites, 53 the families of Kiriath Jearim, the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites. From these people came the Zorahites and Eshtaolites. 

50 These were Caleb’s descendants.

The sons of Hur, Ephrathah’s firstborn:

Shobal fathered Kiriath-jearim;

51 Salma fathered Bethlehem,

and Hareph fathered Beth-gader.

52 These were the descendants of Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim: Haroeh, half of the Manahathites, 53 and the families of Kiriath-jearim—the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites, and Mishraites. The Zorathites and Eshtaolites descended from these.

50 These were the descendants of Caleb.

50 All of them belonged to the family line of Caleb.

Hur was the oldest son of Ephrathah.

Hur was the brother of Shobal. Shobal was the father of Kiriath Jearim. 51 Hur was the father of Salma. Salma was the father of Bethlehem. Hur was also the father of Hareph. Hareph was the father of Beth Gader.

52 Here is the family line of Shobal, the father of Kiriath Jearim. It included

Haroeh and half of the people of Manahath. 53 It also included the family groups of Kiriath Jearim. They were the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites and Mishraites. The people of Zorah and Eshtaol belonged to those family groups.

50 These were the sons of Caleb.
