18 Then the Spirit came on Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said:

“We are yours, David!

We are with you, son of Jesse!

Success, success to you,

and success to those who help you,

for your God will help you.”

So David received them and made them leaders of his raiding bands.

18 Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said,

Thine are we, David,

And on thy side, thou son of Jesse:

Peace, peace be unto thee,

And peace be to thine helpers;

For thy God helpeth thee.

Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.

18 Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, the leader of the Thirty, and he said,

“We are yours, David!

We are on your side, son of Jesse.

Peace and prosperity be with you,

and success to all who help you,

for your God is the one who helps you.”

So David let them join him, and he made them officers over his troops.

18 Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, chief of the captains, and he said:

“We are yours, O David;

We are on your side, O son of Jesse!

Peace, peace to you,

And peace to your helpers!

For your God helps you.”

So David received them, and made them captains of the troop.

18 Then the Spirit entered Amasai, the leader of the Thirty, and he said:

“We belong to you, David.

We are with you, son of Jesse.

Success, success to you.

Success to those who help you,

because your God helps you.”

So David welcomed these men and made them leaders of his army.

18 Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thy helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.

18 And the Spirit came upon Amasai, the chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, And with thee, thou son of Jesse: Peace, peace be to thee! And peace be to thy helpers! For thy God helps thee. And David received them, and made them chiefs of bands.

18 Then the Spirit gave Amasai, the leader of the thirty, the strength ⸤to say⸥, 

“We are yours, David. 

We are with you, son of Jesse. 

Success, success to you! 

Success to those who help you, 

because your God is helping you.” 

So David welcomed them and made them officers over his troops. 

18 Then the Spirit took control of Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said:

We are yours, David,

we are with you, son of Jesse!

Peace, peace to you,

and peace to him who helps you,

for your God helps you.

So David received them and made them leaders of his troops.

18 Then the spirit came upon Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said,

“We are yours, O David;

and with you, O son of Jesse!

Peace, peace to you,

and peace to the one who helps you!

For your God is the one who helps you.”

Then David received them, and made them officers of his troops.

18 Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, chief of the thirty who said:

“We are yours, O David!

And we are with you, O son of Jesse!

Peace! Peace to you, and peace to those who help you,

for your God helps you.”

So David appointed them as heads of the troops.

18 The Spirit of God came on Amasai. He was chief of the Thirty. He said,

“David, we belong to you!

Son of Jesse, we’re on your side!

May you have great success.

May those who help you also have success.

Your God will help you.”

So David welcomed them. He made them leaders in his army.

18 Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, who was the chief of the thirty, and he said,

“We are yours, O David,

And with you, O son of Jesse!

Peace, peace to you,

And peace to him who helps you;

Indeed, your God helps you!”

Then David received them and made them captains of the band.
