Esther 7:9–10
9 Then kHarbona, one of the eunuchs in attendance on the king, said, “Moreover, lthe gallows2 that Haman has prepared for Mordecai, mwhose word saved the king, is standing at Haman’s house, fifty cubits3 high.” And the king said, “Hang him on that.” n10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. oThen the wrath of the king abated.

9 Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said, “A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman’s house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king.”
The king said, “Impale him on it!” 10 So they impaled Haman on the pole he had set up for Mordecai. Then the king’s fury subsided.

The king said to his men, “Put Haman to death! Stick the pole through his body! Set it up where everyone can see it!” 10 So they did. And they used the pole Haman had gotten ready for Mordecai. Then the king’s anger calmed down.
