Numbers 34:16–29

16 The Lord said to Moses, 17 “These are the names of the men who are to assign the land for you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun. 18 And appoint one leader from each tribe to help assign the land. 19 These are their names:

Caleb son of Jephunneh,

from the tribe of Judah;

20 Shemuel son of Ammihud,

from the tribe of Simeon;

21 Elidad son of Kislon,

from the tribe of Benjamin;

22 Bukki son of Jogli,

the leader from the tribe of Dan;

23 Hanniel son of Ephod,

the leader from the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph;

24 Kemuel son of Shiphtan,

the leader from the tribe of Ephraim son of Joseph;

25 Elizaphan son of Parnak,

the leader from the tribe of Zebulun;

26 Paltiel son of Azzan,

the leader from the tribe of Issachar;

27 Ahihud son of Shelomi,

the leader from the tribe of Asher;

28 Pedahel son of Ammihud,

the leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”

29 These are the men the Lord commanded to assign the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.

16 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 17 “These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun. 18 You shall take one chief from every tribe to divide the land for inheritance. 19 These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. 20 Of the tribe of the people of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud. 21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon. 22 Of the tribe of the people of Dan a chief, Bukki the son of Jogli. 23 Of the people of Joseph: of the tribe of the people of Manasseh a chief, Hanniel the son of Ephod. 24 And of the tribe of the people of Ephraim a chief, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan. 25 Of the tribe of the people of Zebulun a chief, Elizaphan the son of Parnach. 26 Of the tribe of the people of Issachar a chief, Paltiel the son of Azzan. 27 And of the tribe of the people of Asher a chief, Ahihud the son of Shelomi. 28 Of the tribe of the people of Naphtali a chief, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.” 29 These are the men whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance for the people of Israel in the land of Canaan.

16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun. 18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance. 19 And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. 20 And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud. 21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon. 22 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli. 23 The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod. 24 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan. 25 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach. 26 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan. 27 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi. 28 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud. 29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

16 And the Lord said to Moses, 17 “Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun are the men designated to divide the grants of land among the people. 18 Enlist one leader from each tribe to help them with the task. 19 These are the tribes and the names of the leaders:

Judah

Caleb son of Jephunneh

20 Simeon

Shemuel son of Ammihud

21 Benjamin

Elidad son of Kislon

22 Dan

Bukki son of Jogli

23 Manasseh son of Joseph

Hanniel son of Ephod

24 Ephraim son of Joseph

Kemuel son of Shiphtan

25 Zebulun

Elizaphan son of Parnach

26 Issachar

Paltiel son of Azzan

27 Asher

Ahihud son of Shelomi

28 Naphtali

Pedahel son of Ammihud

29 These are the men the Lord has appointed to divide the grants of land in Canaan among the Israelites.”

16 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 17 “These are the names of the men who shall divide the land among you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun. 18 And you shall take one leader of every tribe to divide the land for the inheritance. 19 These are the names of the men: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh; 20 from the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud; 21 from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon; 22 a leader from the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli; 23 from the sons of Joseph: a leader from the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod, 24 and a leader from the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan; 25 a leader from the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach; 26 a leader from the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan; 27 a leader from the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi; 28 and a leader from the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”

29 These are the ones the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance among the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

16 Then the Lord said to Moses, 17 “These are the men who will divide the land: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun. 18 Also take one leader from each tribe to help divide the land. 19 These are the names of the leaders: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh; 20 from the tribe of Simeon, Shemuel son of Ammihud; 21 from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Kislon; 22 from the tribe of Dan, Bukki son of Jogli; 23 from the tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph, Hanniel son of Ephod; 24 from the tribe of Ephraim son of Joseph, Kemuel son of Shiphtan; 25 from the tribe of Zebulun, Elizaphan son of Parnach; 26 from the tribe of Issachar, Paltiel son of Azzan; 27 from the tribe of Asher, Ahihud son of Shelomi; 28 from the tribe of Naphtali, Pedahel son of Ammihud.”

29 The Lord commanded these men to divide the land of Canaan among the Israelites.

16 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 17 These are the names of the men who shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun. 18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land. 19 And these are the names of the men: for the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh; 20 and for the tribe of the children of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud; 21 for the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon; 22 and for the tribe of the children of Dan, a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli; 23 for the children of Joseph: for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod, 24 and for the tribe of the children of Ephraim, a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan; 25 and for the tribe of the children of Zebulun, a prince, Elizaphan the son of Pharnach; 26 and for the tribe of the children of Issachar, a prince, Phaltiel the son of Azzan; 27 and for the tribe of the children of Asher, a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi; 28 and for the tribe of the children of Naphtali, a prince, Phedahel the son of Ammihud. 29 These are they whom Jehovah commanded to distribute to the children of Israel their inheritance in the land of Canaan.

16 The Lord said to Moses, 17 “These are the names of the men who will divide the land for you: the priest Eleazar and Joshua, son of Nun. 18 You must also take one leader from each tribe to divide the land. 19 These are their names: 

Caleb, son of Jephunneh, from the tribe of Judah; 

20 Shemuel, son of Ammihud, from the tribe of Simeon; 

21 Elidad, son of Kislon, from the tribe of Benjamin; 

22 Bukki, son of Jogli, the leader of the tribe of Dan; 

23 Hanniel, son of Ephod, the leader of the tribe of Manasseh; 

24 Kemuel, son of Shiphtan, the leader of the tribe of Ephraim; 

(Manasseh and Ephraim are Joseph’s descendants.)

25 Elizaphan, son of Parnach, the leader of the tribe of Zebulun; 

26 Paltiel, son of Azzan, the leader of the tribe of Issachar; 

27 Ahihud, son of Shelomi, the leader of the tribe of Asher; 

28 Pedahel, son of Ammihud, the leader of the tribe of Naphtali.” 

29 These are the men the Lord commanded to divide Canaan for the Israelites. 

16 The Lord spoke to Moses, 17 “These are the names of the men who are to distribute the land as an inheritance for you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun. 18 Take one leader from each tribe to distribute the land. 19 These are the names of the men:

Caleb son of Jephunneh from the tribe of Judah;

20 Shemuel son of Ammihud from the tribe of Simeon;

21 Elidad son of Chislon from the tribe of Benjamin;

22 Bukki son of Jogli, a leader from the tribe of Dan;

23 from the sons of Joseph:

Hanniel son of Ephod, a leader from the tribe of Manasseh,

24 Kemuel son of Shiphtan, a leader from the tribe of Ephraim;

25 Eli-zaphan son of Parnach, a leader from the tribe of Zebulun;

26 Paltiel son of Azzan, a leader from the tribe of Issachar;

27 Ahihud son of Shelomi, a leader from the tribe of Asher;

28 Pedahel son of Ammihud, a leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”

29 These are the ones the Lord commanded to distribute the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.

16 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 17 “These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land to you for inheritance: the priest Eleazar and Joshua son of Nun. 18 You shall take one leader of every tribe to apportion the land for inheritance. 19 These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh. 20 Of the tribe of the Simeonites, Shemuel son of Ammihud. 21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon. 22 Of the tribe of the Danites a leader, Bukki son of Jogli. 23 Of the Josephites: of the tribe of the Manassites a leader, Hanniel son of Ephod, 24 and of the tribe of the Ephraimites a leader, Kemuel son of Shiphtan. 25 Of the tribe of the Zebulunites a leader, Eli-zaphan son of Parnach. 26 Of the tribe of the Issacharites a leader, Paltiel son of Azzan. 27 And of the tribe of the Asherites a leader, Ahihud son of Shelomi. 28 Of the tribe of the Naphtalites a leader, Pedahel son of Ammihud. 29 These were the ones whom the Lord commanded to apportion the inheritance for the Israelites in the land of Canaan.”

16 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 17 “These are the names of the men who will divide up the land for you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun. 18 You will take one leader from every tribe to divide up the land for inheritance. 19 These are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh; 20 of the tribe of the descendants of Simeon, Samuel son of Ammihud; 21 of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon; 22 of the tribe of the descendants of Dan, the leader Bukki son of Jogli; 23 of the descendants of Joseph, the tribe of the descendants of Manasseh, the leader Hanniel son of Ephod. 24 Of the tribe of the descendants of Ephraim, the leader Kemuel son of Shiphtan; 25 of the tribe of the descendants of Zebulun, the leader Elizaphan son of Parnach; 26 of the tribe of the descendants of Issachar, the leader Paltiel son of Azzan; 27 of the tribe of the descendants of Asher, the leader Ahihud son of Shelomi; 28 of the tribe of the descendants of Naphtali, the leader Pedahel son of Ammihud.” 29 These are those whom Yahweh commanded to allot to the Israelites the land of Canaan.

16 The Lord spoke to Moses. He said, 17 “Here are the names of the men who will give out the shares of the land to your people. They are the priest Eleazar and Joshua, the son of Nun. 18 Also appoint one leader from each tribe to help give out the land. 19 Here are their names.

“Caleb, the son of Jephunneh,

is from the tribe of Judah.

20 Shemuel, the son of Ammihud,

is from the tribe of Simeon.

21 Elidad, the son of Kislon,

is from the tribe of Benjamin.

22 Bukki, the son of Jogli,

is the leader from the tribe of Dan.

23 Hanniel, the son of Ephod,

is the leader from the tribe of Manasseh. Manasseh was the son of Joseph.

24 Kemuel, the son of Shiphtan,

is the leader from the tribe of Ephraim. Ephraim was the son of Joseph.

25 Elizaphan, the son of Parnach,

is the leader from the tribe of Zebulun.

26 Paltiel, the son of Azzan,

is the leader from the tribe of Issachar.

27 Ahihud, the son of Shelomi,

is the leader from the tribe of Asher.

28 Pedahel, the son of Ammihud,

is the leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”

29 Those are the men the Lord commanded to give out the shares of the land. They were commanded to give them to Israel in the land of Canaan.

16 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

17 “These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.

18 “You shall take one leader of every tribe to apportion the land for inheritance.

19 “These are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

21 “Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

22 “Of the tribe of the sons of Dan a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli.

23 “Of the sons of Joseph: of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

24 “Of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

25 “Of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun a leader, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

26 “Of the tribe of the sons of Issachar a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

27 “Of the tribe of the sons of Asher a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

28 “Of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali a leader, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”

29 These are those whom the Lord commanded to apportion the inheritance to the sons of Israel in the land of Canaan.
