37I pursued mine enemies, and overtook them; and I turned not again till they were consumed. 38I crushed them, and they were not able to rise: they fell under my feet. 39And thou girdedst me with strength to battle; thou didst subdue under me those that rose up against me. 40And mine enemies didst thou make to turn their backs unto me, and those that hated me I destroyed.

You made my enemies turn their backs to me,

and those who hated me I destroyed.

I annihilate those who hate me.

I have destroyed all who hated me.

And you girded me with strength for the battle;

those rising against me you made to kneel under me.

And you made my enemies turn their backs,

then I destroyed those who hated me.

I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them:

Neither did I turn again till they were consumed.

I have wounded them that they were not able to rise:

They are fallen under my feet.

Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies;

That I might destroy them that hate me.
