ESVEnglish Standard Version

“In that day I will raise up

the booth of David that is fallen

and repair its breaches,

and raise up its ruins

and rebuild it as in the days of old,

that they may possess the remnant of Edom

and all the nations who are called by my name,”

declares the Lord who does this.

“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,

“when the plowman shall overtake the reaper

and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed;

the mountains shall drip sweet wine,

and all the hills shall flow with it.

I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel,

and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them;

they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine,

and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit.

I will plant them on their land,

and they shall never again be uprooted

out of the land that I have given them,”

says the Lord your God.

NIVNew International Version (2011)

“In that day

“I will restore David’s fallen shelter—

I will repair its broken walls

and restore its ruins—

and will rebuild it as it used to be,

so that they may possess the remnant of Edom

and all the nations that bear my name,”

declares the Lord, who will do these things.

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,

“when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman

and the planter by the one treading grapes.

New wine will drip from the mountains

and flow from all the hills,

and I will bring my people Israel back from exile.

“They will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them.

They will plant vineyards and drink their wine;

they will make gardens and eat their fruit.

I will plant Israel in their own land,

never again to be uprooted

from the land I have given them,”

says the Lord your God.

NLTNew Living Translation

“In that day I will restore the fallen house of David.

I will repair its damaged walls.

From the ruins I will rebuild it

and restore its former glory.

And Israel will possess what is left of Edom

and all the nations I have called to be mine.”

The Lord has spoken,

and he will do these things.

“The time will come,” says the Lord,

“when the grain and grapes will grow faster

than they can be harvested.

Then the terraced vineyards on the hills of Israel

will drip with sweet wine!

I will bring my exiled people of Israel

back from distant lands,

and they will rebuild their ruined cities

and live in them again.

They will plant vineyards and gardens;

they will eat their crops and drink their wine.

I will firmly plant them there

in their own land.

They will never again be uprooted

from the land I have given them,”

says the Lord your God.

LEBThe Lexham English Bible

On that day I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen, and I will repair its breaches and will raise up its ruins and will build it like the days of old. Thus they may take possession of the remnant of Edom and all the nations who are called by my name,” declares Yahweh, who does this. “Look, days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when the one who plows will overtake the one who reaps, the one who treads grapes will catch up with the one who sows the seed. And the mountains will drip sweet wine and all of the hills will flow with it. And I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they will rebuild the desolated cities and will inhabit them. And they will plant vineyards and will drink their wine, and they will make gardens and will eat their fruit. And I will plant them on their land and they will not be uprooted again from their land that I have given to them,” says Yahweh your God.

KJV 1900King James Version

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen,

And close up the breaches thereof;

And I will raise up his ruins,

And I will build it as in the days of old:

That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen,

Which are called by my name,

Saith the Lord that doeth this.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord,

That the plowman shall overtake the reaper,

And the treader of grapes him that soweth seed;

And the mountains shall drop sweet wine,

And all the hills shall melt.

And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel,

And they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them;

And they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof;

They shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

And I will plant them upon their land,

And they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them,

Saith the Lord thy God.
