NIVNew International Version (2011)

Then Amaziah said to Amos, “Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there. Don’t prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king’s sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom.”

NLTNew Living Translation

Then Amaziah sent orders to Amos: “Get out of here, you prophet! Go on back to the land of Judah, and earn your living by prophesying there! Don’t bother us with your prophecies here in Bethel. This is the king’s sanctuary and the national place of worship!”

LEBThe Lexham English Bible

And Amaziah said to Amos, “O seer, go, flee to the land of Judah and earn food there and prophesy there!” But do not prophesy again at Bethel, because this is a sanctuary of a king and this is a temple of a kingdom.”

KJV 1900King James Version

Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: But prophesy not again any more at Beth-el: for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court.
