Jeremiah 31:27–30

27 “Look, the days are coming”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“when I will sow the house of Israelq and the house of Judah with the seed of people and the seed of animals. 28 Just as I watched over them to uproot and to tear them down, to demolish and to destroy, and to cause disaster,r so will I watch over them to build and to plant them”s —this is the Lord’s declaration. 29 “In those days, it will never again be said,

‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes,

and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’t

30 Rather, each will die for his own iniquity.u Anyone who eats sour grapes—his own teeth will be set on edge.
