¹²I do not allow a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; instead, she is to remain quiet. ¹³For Adam was formed first, then Eve.^e

I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve;

I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve.

I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly. For God made Adam first, and afterward he made Eve.
