Z té příčiný rozlítil se král a rozhněval velmi, a přikázal, aby zhubili všecky mudrce Babylonské.
A když vyšel ortel, a mudrci mordováni byli, hledali i Daniele a tovaryšů jeho, aby zmordováni byli.
Tedy Daniel odpověděl moudře a opatrně Ariochovi, hejtmanu nad žoldnéři královskými, kterýž vyšel, aby mordoval mudrce Babylonské.
