Entonces dijo Balaán a Balac:
— Constrúyeme aquí siete altares y prepárame siete becerros y siete carneros.
Balac hizo como Balaán le dijo y juntos ofrecieron en cada altar un becerro y un carnero. Luego Balaán dijo a Balac:
— Quédate junto a tu holocausto mientras yo me retiro por si el Señor quiere manifestárseme; si es así, te comunicaré cualquiera cosa que me revele.
Se fue Balaán hacia una colina sin vegetación
