Rasguen su corazón
en lugar de sus vestidos;
vuélvanse al Señor, su Dios,
que es misericordioso y compasivo,
lento para airarse y lleno de amor,
siempre dispuesto a no hacer mal.
Quizá se decida a no hacer daño
y a sembrar bendiciones a su paso:
ofrendas y libaciones
para el Señor, su Dios.
