Si Dios guarda silencio,
¿quién condenará al malvado?
Si oculta su rostro, ¿quién podrá verlo?
Pero él vigila a personas y países,
para evitar que prevalezca un impío
y someta al pueblo a su capricho.
Si alguien reconoce ante Dios:
“Me he enorgullecido, no lo haré más;
enséñame tú lo que yo no puedo ver;
si algo malo he hecho, no reincidiré”,
¿debería [Dios[ castigar, en tu opinión,
cuando tú rechazas su criterio?
Eres tú quien debe decidir, no yo;
demuestra todo lo que sabes.
