Él hizo la tierra con su poder,
estableció el orbe con su sabiduría,
desplegó el cielo con su inteligencia.
Cuando él alza la voz,
retumban las aguas del cielo,
hace subir a las nubes
desde el confín de la tierra;
con los rayos provoca la lluvia
y saca de sus depósitos el viento.
Se embrutece quien se fía de su ciencia,
el orfebre se avergüenza
del ídolo que ha hecho:
sus imágenes son mentira, sin espíritu;
son frustrantes, obras engañosas,
desaparecerán el día del castigo.
No es así la porción de Jacob,
pues él ha creado todo;
Israel es tribu de su propiedad,
su nombre es Señor del universo.
