Mas ella no pensaba así,
eso no entraba en sus planes:
pensaba sólo en masacrar,
en destruir no pocos pueblos.
Decía:
“¿No son reyes mis ministros?
¿No es Calno como Carquemis?
¿No es Jamat igual que Arpad?
¿No es Samaría como Damasco?
Igual que me apoderé
de aquellos reinos paganos,
con dioses más numerosos
que en Jerusalén y Samaría,
eso mismo he hecho también
con Samaría y sus ídolos,
eso mismo pienso hacer
con Jerusalén y sus dioses”.
