Labán llamó a aquel lugar Jegar Saadutá, y Jacob lo llamó Galaad.
Labán añadió:
— Este majano es hoy un testimonio entre nosotros.
Por eso aquel lugar se llamó Galaad, y también Mispá, porque Labán juró:
— ¡Que el Señor nos vigile cuando nos hayamos separado!
